What is the Bacterial Vaginosis Sialidase Assay?

There are many types of gynecological diseases. Bacterial vaginosis is a very common gynecological disease with a particularly high incidence rate. Once you suffer from bacterial vaginitis, it will have a great impact on the patient's physical health and daily life, so you need to actively check and treat it. When you go to the hospital for examination, you will usually be asked by the doctor to do a bacterial vaginosis sialidase test, but few women know much about this.

What is the Bacterial Vaginosis Sialidase Assay?

Neural sidase is secreted by Gardnerella and some other anaerobic bacteria in the vaginal flora. When the normal microecological balance is disrupted, these neural sidase-producing pathogens will invade and over-multiply, eventually leading to bacterial vaginitis. The pathogens that cause bacterial vaginosis are often conditional pathogens. Whether these pathogens can cause disease after entering the vagina often depends on the balance of the vaginal microecological flora.

If the sialidase test for bacterial vaginosis is negative, it means that there is no such disease and you don’t need to worry too much. However, you may have candidal vaginitis or other infections.

Targeted conditioning and treatment should be carried out. If the sialidase test for bacterial vaginosis is positive, you can choose to use antibacterial drugs to alleviate the condition and avoid increased vaginal secretions. It has a very good effect on the treatment of female vaginal diseases and can promote physical recovery.

Is sialidase positive contagious?

Sialidase positivity can be contagious between couples. It is best to have sex after treatment to avoid cross infection from inflammation. Bacterial vaginitis can be divided into Haemophilus vaginitis, Corynebacterium vaginitis, Hypoxic bacterial vaginitis, Gardnerella vaginitis, etc.; this disease is caused by a mixed infection of vaginal Gardnerella and some hypoxic bacteria, and can be transmitted through sexual contact.

Bacterial vaginosis is not difficult to treat. Aggressive treatment can eliminate susceptibility factors. Keep the vulva clean and dry and avoid scratching. It is not advisable to eat spicy and irritating foods, the effect is very good. Change your underwear frequently and wash it with warm water. Do not mix it with other clothes to avoid cross infection.

Sialidase positivity can be prevented by changing the slightly acidic environment of the vagina. The weakly acidic environment of the vagina can maintain its self-cleaning function. The normal pH is 3.7-4.5. Therefore, the feminine care solution with Ph4 weak acid formula is not only suitable for daily cleaning and maintenance, but also has an effect on the flora disorder that causes bacterial vaginosis during treatment. When going to the toilet, wipe the vulva with feminine hygiene wipes to keep it dry to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria.
