What is the reason for lower body pain

Lower body pain is a problem that women are more likely to face, and there are many reasons for this situation, such as physiological reasons, that is, the arrival of women's menstrual period; caused by cold due to climate reasons; or caused by eating too cold or other irritating foods. In the face of this situation, it is necessary to understand the cause and then take measures to treat it. The following will introduce the causes of lower body pain.

Many women face the problem of frequent dysmenorrhea during menstruation. However, after consulting a doctor or taking medicine, although the symptoms are relieved within a certain period of time, it is still difficult to find a long-term and effective method. Therefore, many people have begun to reflect on whether there is something wrong with their lifestyle habits. Let us take a look at what are the reasons that can cause lower body pain during menstruation.

There are several reasons for lower body pain during menstruation:

1. Physiological factors

Excessive menstrual bleeding leads to loss of blood calcium. However, the demand for calcium for women during puberty increases, which leads to severe calcium deficiency. The blood calcium drops even lower, which often causes spasms and contractions of the uterine wall muscles and causes pain.

2. Factors of catching cold

Catching a cold due to cold weather or wearing too few clothes can cause Qi and blood to stagnate, preventing menstrual blood from being discharged smoothly and aggravating dysmenorrhea.

3. Fatigue Factors

The physical condition of women during menstruation is not as good as usual, and they need to supplement nutrition and get more rest. Excessive physical labor will aggravate bleeding and dysmenorrhea.

4. Dietary factors

Some girls love to eat snacks, and they also eat cold drinks and raw and cold foods such as pears during menstruation, which can easily lead to stagnation of Qi and blood. As Chinese medicine says: if there is no blood circulation, there will be pain, which will naturally aggravate dysmenorrhea.

Diagnosis

In addition to physical and mental factors, the occurrence of dysmenorrhea is mainly related to the excessively high level of prostaglandins in the patient's secretory endometrium. Therefore, dysmenorrhea often occurs during the menstrual cycle with ovulation. It is synthesized in the endometrium during the secretory phase under the action of progesterone. Its receptors are in the uterine muscle wall. When the endometrium is broken during menstruation, progesterone is released, stimulating the uterine muscles to contract strongly, increasing the intrauterine pressure, reducing local blood flow, causing ischemia and hypoxia, and thus causing pain. In addition, cervical stenosis and excessive tilt of the uterus can lead to poor outflow of menstrual blood and cause dysmenorrhea.

Diagnostic criteria for dysmenorrhea:

1. Severe lower abdominal pain, backache, etc. during or before and after menstruation, affecting work and life.

2. Primary: Dysmenorrhea occurs since menarche. The pain is so severe that the patient is bedridden and unable to work. Gynecological examination showed no obvious abnormalities, and the uterus was slightly underdeveloped and small. It is more common in unmarried and childless people.

3. Secondary: caused by organic lesions of the reproductive organs, commonly seen in pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, etc.
