Can I get pregnant if I have candidal vaginitis?

If you have candidal vaginitis, you should not get pregnant first. Go to the hospital to check the condition and cause of the disease, check whether you have uterine infection, and whether there are complications in the pelvic appendages. If it is just a simple vaginal inflammation, there is no problem with getting pregnant. However, if the condition is more serious, failure to treat it in time may lead to infection of the fetus after pregnancy, causing more troublesome consequences.

Candida albicans is caused by Candida albicans, a fungus that exists on the human body surface and in body cavities, such as the mouth, rectum, and vagina. Under normal circumstances, even if this fungus exists in the vagina, it will not cause disease. It will only cause illness when it multiplies in large numbers. When the disease occurs, symptoms include itching of the vulva, burning sensation in the vagina, and leucorrhea that resembles tofu dregs.

According to the survey: about 2/3 of pregnant women suffer from candidal vaginitis. Why? Because women's sex hormone levels are high after pregnancy, and the vagina is congested, secretions are vigorous, and the vulva is moist, which creates an environment that is very conducive to the growth of mold.

(1) So, is it possible to get pregnant?

If you have mild candidal vaginitis, it generally does not affect pregnancy. However, if it is more serious, you should wait until it is cured before getting pregnant.

(2) Is there any impact on the fetus?

If not treated in time, the fetus will be infected and a erythematous rash will appear on the skin, and yellow pinpoint spots will appear on the umbilical cord. If the fetus is delivered vaginally, 2/3 of the newborns will develop thrush and red buttocks.

(3) How to use the medicine?

Pregnant women should note that the use of medications in the early, middle and late stages of pregnancy should be different. Some drugs have an impact on the development of the fetus. Therefore, please use the medications under the guidance of the hospital and do not use them at will. In addition, there are many varieties of external washes on the market. For pregnant women, they can wash the vulva, but not the vagina, because this can easily affect the fetus.
