What are the ways to adjust menstruation after nine days of delay?

Many students need to take exams on the day when they have their menstruation, which will cause their grades to be poor. What methods can be used to advance or delay the untimely menstruation to avoid being troubled by the menstrual period? What are the adjustment methods for menstruation that is delayed for nine days?

Menstruation is regular, periodic uterine bleeding in women and is one of the external signs of reproductive maturity. This bleeding is the result of female follicle maturation, ovulation and corpus luteum formation, the change of endometrium from proliferation to secretion, and endometrial shedding. This process is achieved by the neuroendocrine system through the production of estrogen and progesterone, so changing any link in the production of hormones will cause changes in the menstrual period. In clinical practice, doctors usually use estrogen or progesterone to regulate menstruation for women with normal menstrual cycles who strongly request to change their menstrual period. If persuasion is ineffective, these "secret recipes" that can be tried include:

(1) Methods for inducing early menstruation: Starting from the 16th day of menstruation, intramuscular injection of progesterone 20 mg or oral administration of medroxyprogesterone 10-12 mg daily for 5 days, and menstruation will occur 3-7 days after stopping the medication;

(2) Methods for delaying the onset of menstruation: ① Contraceptive Type I (norethindrone) or short-acting oral contraceptive Type II, 2 tablets per day for 2 weeks starting from the 5th day of menstruation, and increase to 4 tablets per day from the 3rd week; ② Oral progestin drugs such as Fukang Tablets (norethisterone) or Funing Tablets (megestrol), 10 mg per day starting from the 16th day of menstruation; ③ Non-hormonal mifepristone, 25 mg per day starting from the 5th day of menstruation.

Please remember that the above methods ①, ②, and ③ must be taken continuously until the "critical period" is passed and then discontinued. Generally, menstruation will occur within 7 days after stopping the medication. It is worth noting that the abnormal use of sex hormones may disrupt future menstrual cycles. Therefore, these methods should not be used for a long time, let alone abused. If menstrual disorders occur, please seek treatment from a gynecologist in time. In addition, some people may experience dizziness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting and other early pregnancy reactions when taking sex hormones for the first time. Those who are prohibited from using sex hormones include: women over 40 years old, breastfeeding women, women with hypertension, diabetes, liver and kidney diseases, thyroid diseases, thromboembolic diseases, malignant tumors of the breast or reproductive organs, or women suspected of having tumors.

The above is the adjustment method when menstruation is delayed for nine days, at the critical moment. The method of medication is still very effective. There are many ways to delay menstruation. However, although the medication method is effective, it will also have a certain impact on women's health and cannot be used frequently.
