Is it normal for pregnancy symptoms to disappear suddenly?

Presumably, many pregnant women have gone through the stage of early pregnancy reaction at the beginning of pregnancy. Not only do they feel dizzy and uncomfortable, but they also feel nauseous and vomit. In severe cases, they cannot eat normally and will vomit immediately after eating. This greatly affects the mood of pregnant women and makes their families very worried. However, the duration varies according to the physical condition of each pregnant woman. So is it normal for the pregnancy reaction to disappear suddenly?

Nausea and vomiting occur in most pregnancies (50% to 90%), usually starting from 6 to 8 weeks of pregnancy and reaching a peak at 10 to 12 weeks. About half of them are relieved before 14 weeks of pregnancy, and 90% are relieved before 22 weeks of pregnancy. 80% of women with morning sickness experience vomiting that lasts all day, not just "morning sickness." Treatment of nausea and vomiting rarely relieves symptoms completely, but it can significantly reduce the associated discomfort and unpleasantness.

Adjustments to your lifestyle may also reduce pregnancy reactions: eat small meals frequently, but avoid fasting; eat light meals, and try not to eat foods that are too salty, greasy, or have a special odor; foods such as biscuits, bread, and soda crackers can reduce the discomfort of morning sickness; replenish water to avoid dehydration; keep the indoor air fresh, open windows frequently for ventilation, and avoid places with peculiar smells; eat less or no cold, indigestible foods; appropriately reduce the amount of exercise and workload, ensure adequate rest, etc.

The herb, ginger, also has therapeutic value. B vitamins may also relieve some symptoms. Rigorous clinical studies have shown that the use of metoclopramide (also known as "Metoclopramide") in early pregnancy does not increase the risk of birth defects in newborns. Pregnant women who suffer from severe nausea and vomiting should take appropriate medication under the guidance of a doctor.

The duration of pregnancy reactions will be different for each person, which is mainly related to the hormones in each person's body. But regardless of the length of time, these are normal phenomena in the early stages of pregnancy. Normally, the pregnancy reaction will gradually disappear after 8-12 weeks of pregnancy, but for some people, the early pregnancy reaction lasts longer and does not disappear until 16-18 weeks. These are all normal.

Through the above introduction, everyone is clear about whether it is normal for the sudden disappearance of pregnancy reactions. Generally speaking, it will be relieved and eliminated on its own after the 16th week of pregnancy. However, some pregnant women will continue for a longer time, and even affect the entire pregnancy. If the situation is more serious, you still need to consult a doctor as soon as possible.
