The first contact that pregnant mothers have with their babies is when the babies develop to a certain extent and begin to show some obvious movements. This is the so-called fetal movement. As long as the fetal movement is regular, rhythmic, and does not change much, it proves that the fetal development is normal. So what are the fetal movements of babies at different stages like? A five-month-old baby has grown and developed sufficiently, so what should the fetal movements be like at this time? 1. Early Identification of early pregnancy: If a pregnant woman experiences abdominal pain within 4 months of pregnancy, it is not fetal movement. Because fetal movement usually occurs between 16 and 20 weeks of pregnancy. During this period, if there are symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, anal swelling, vaginal bleeding, etc., you should consider the occurrence of ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole, miscarriage, etc. 2. Late stage As mentioned above, the fetal movements of pregnant women have a certain regularity, generally about 3-5 times per hour. Fetal movements are more active during the 28th to 37th week of pregnancy, but will not cause obvious discomfort to pregnant women. The local abdominal discomfort after fetal movement will be relieved in a few seconds or tens of seconds. If a pregnant woman experiences abdominal distension, anal swelling, paroxysmal abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding in the middle and late stages of pregnancy, she should consider the occurrence of premature birth and placental abruption. If the abdominal pain is located in the lower right or upper part, is irregular, and the pregnant woman has symptoms such as high fever, nausea, vomiting, etc., then the occurrence of acute appendicitis should be considered. If a pregnant woman experiences board-like abdominal stiffness and unbearable pain after giving birth, she should be alert to the possibility of uterine rupture. The feeling of fetal movement is the movement of the baby in the pregnant woman's belly when the baby grows to a certain size. Generally, at five months, the baby has taken shape and will turn back and forth in the pregnant woman's belly. It is normal to feel fetal movement at five months. The fetal movement during this period is often irregular, and there is no need to calculate the daily fetal movement. Don't be too nervous. A 4.5-month-old fetus will basically not suffer from fetal hypoxia. In the later stages of pregnancy, you can count the fetal movements, one hour each in the morning, noon and evening. It is normal if there are more than 12 movements added up. (I am an obstetrician and have never counted fetal movements. In fact, as long as you feel the movements are about the same every day, it doesn't matter if you don't count them.) It is best to do a three-dimensional B-ultrasound at 25-28 weeks of pregnancy. It cannot be seen too early, and it is often too late because the fetal position is more fixed and the fetus is too large to see some places. If the mother is older, has a history of fetal malformation, or has family members with malformations, she may consider amniocentesis, but it is an invasive test and carries certain risks. If you are already five months pregnant and feel the baby's irregular movements in your belly, don't worry, because this is a very normal phenomenon, indicating the normal development and growth of the baby. If you are really nervous and worried, you might as well go to the hospital for a normal prenatal check-up, which will allow you to feel the baby's appearance and changes more intuitively and maintain a good mood. |
