What is the childbirth breathing method?

In life, when a pregnant woman is about to give birth, she not only needs to prepare clothes for delivery, but also needs to understand some precautions for childbirth. However, many pregnant women are worried that they will be in danger during childbirth, so we need to understand some techniques for childbirth. In order to help pregnant women give birth more smoothly, we need to have a detailed understanding of the breathing method during childbirth. Today we will all learn the breathing method for childbirth.

Methods/Steps

1. During childbirth, certain breathing techniques can significantly reduce labor pain. Therefore, expectant mothers, especially those who are afraid of pain, can practice labor breathing techniques at home in advance.

2. Technique 1: Breathe slowly and deeply

Breathe in through your nose, allowing your entire lower chest and abdomen to expand, and breathe out through your mouth, exhaling slowly.

3. Technique 2: Shallow breathing

Open your mouth slightly, inhale gently, and exhale gently, using only the upper half of your lungs, like blowing out candles on your birthday, but at a faster speed.

4. Technique 3: Use breathing techniques

During the first stage of labor, use slow breathing when there is mild labor pain, and use gentle breathing when the pain becomes more severe. After the contractions stop, relax your body. Your breathing should be in the form of two light gasps and then one blow. The blowing time should be longer than the gasping time, a bit like "Ha ha woo".

5. When the contractions intensify again, the expectant mother repeats the above techniques one, two, and three.

6. When the labor process enters the second stage and the uterus contracts, the expectant mother needs to take a deep breath, then exhale, then take another deep breath, hold her breath, tighten her abdominal muscles and relax her perineal muscles, and push the baby forward and downward (a bit like applying strong abdominal pressure when constipated) until the baby is slowly squeezed out of the mother's body.

7. When the baby's head is about to come out of the mother's body, the doctor or nurse will tell the expectant mother to stop pushing. At this time, the expectant mother should relax herself and take a deep breath.

8. It is best to have the expectant father accompany you when practicing at home. If possible, it is best to practice under the guidance of a doctor or nurse.

9. Lie on your back and bend your legs, then flatten and open your feet, inhale, and then exhale slowly. Lie flat on your back with your legs bent and standing up, your feet flat on the bed and open horizontally toward your pelvis, inhale through your nose, and then exhale slowly through your mouth. After taking a big breath, hold your breath while looking up at your navel, pulling your chin forward, and trying to move the air in your lungs down to your abdomen. When you want to breathe, relax, exhale fully, then immediately take another breath and hold it, and repeat the above exercise. Each breath holding should last at least 20-30 seconds.

10. When practicing at home, do not use too much force, otherwise it may cause premature birth of the baby.

If we want pregnant women to give birth smoothly, we must not only do the specific process of childbirth breathing method, but also do some nursing work during the delivery process, so as to better protect the pregnant woman's body during delivery. We need to know some good ways to care for pregnant women during childbirth so as to ensure the health of pregnant women and fetuses.
