How big is the follicle?

Many of our friends are very unfamiliar with physiological knowledge and don’t know too much about it. In particular, many friends want to know how big the follicles are when they are discharged during the pregnancy process! First, we have to wait for the follicles to mature so that we can have a better chance of conception. Many people suffer from infertility because of problems with the follicles.

Mature follicles may show the following characteristics: ① The follicles are round or oval, with a diameter of 15-30mm (21.2+-0.53mm). There is an echo-free area inside the follicle, which is clear and pure with clear boundaries and well-preserved walls. ② 20% of mature follicles can show the cumulus oophorus image one day before ovulation, with short and strong echoes near the wall of the follicle.

A normal follicle should grow to 1.8*1.9cm and the endometrium should be 0.8cm thick before ovulation! I am also doing follicle monitoring, and the follicles are developing well. My follicles have grown to 2.2*2.0cm, and the endometrium is 1.0cm thick. My uterus is retroverted.

There is nothing wrong with your anterior uterus. Anterior uterus is good for conception.

(3) Ultrasound images of follicles near ovulation: ① The appearance rate of cumulus ovale is about 20%, mostly appearing in mature follicles >18 mm, predicting ovulation to occur within 24 hours.

② The sonic ring around the follicle is formed as the LH value rises, the membrane tissue edema, and the granulosa cells separate from the theca cells. Ovulation is predicted to occur within 24 hours. Ultrasound currently shows that the chance is very low. ③ The granulosa cells of the follicle wall are completely separated from the bottom layer of the membrane tissue, and the follicle wall appears serrated.

In the above article, we learned how big the follicles should be when they are released. The eggs will develop during puberty just like the human body. Everyone's developmental status and manifestations are different, and it varies from person to person. You can go to the relevant hospital for examination.
