Therefore, it is necessary to understand some changes in a girl’s body after she becomes pregnant!

Stomachache is a disease name in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is mostly caused by exogenous cold evil, dietary damage, emotional distress, and spleen and stomach deficiency. The stomach is the main organ affected by diseases and is often closely related to the liver, spleen and other organs. Stagnation of stomach qi and failure to harmonize and descend are the main pathogenesis of stomach pain. The main method of treatment is to regulate qi and harmonize the stomach, and the corresponding treatment method is adopted according to different symptoms.

Cause 1: External pathogens invading the stomach

External cold, dampness, heat and other evils that invade the stomach can all cause obstruction of gastric Qi, resulting in pain. Among them, cold evil is the most common.

2. Diet hurts the stomach

Improper diet, excessive hunger or overeating will damage the spleen and stomach, causing stagnation of stomach qi and pain.

3. Emotional distress

Worry, sadness and anger can damage the liver and spleen, causing the liver to lose its ability to release energy, which can affect the stomach. The spleen can no longer function properly, and stomach qi can be blocked, all of which can cause the stomach to lose its harmony and descend, leading to stomach pain.

4. Spleen deficiency

The spleen and stomach are the organs of storage, responsible for receiving, transporting and transforming food and water. If the spleen and stomach are weak, they cannot transport and transform food properly, causing poor Qi flow or insufficient Yang in the middle burner, resulting in coldness and loss of warming Yang, and stomachache.

5 Pathogenesis: The location of stomachache is in the stomach, which is closely related to the liver and spleen. The basic pathogenesis is gastric qi obstruction, gastric disharmony and descending, and pain due to obstruction. The main pathological factors include qi stagnation, cold stagnation, heat depression, dampness obstruction and blood stasis. Pathological nature: In the early stage, it is mostly excess syndrome; in the later stage, it is often spleen and stomach weakness, but it is often a mixture of deficiency and excess.

6. Key points of diagnosis and diagnosis basis

1. Pain occurs in the epigastric region near the heart, and the pain may be distending pain, stabbing pain, dull pain, or severe pain.

2. Often accompanied by upper gastrointestinal symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, noisy and acid reflux, belching and vomiting.

3. Characteristics of the disease: Most of the patients are middle-aged and young people, and most of them have a history of recurrent attacks. There are obvious triggers before the onset of the disease, such as weather changes, anger, fatigue, overeating, hunger, eating raw, cold, dry and hard food, spicy food, tobacco and alcohol, or taking drugs that damage the spleen and stomach.

Disease identification

1. Stomachache and heartache

True heart pain is a heart pain syndrome caused by heart disease, which is more common in the elderly. It is a pain in the chest, often with a stabbing pain, which worsens with movement and radiates to the shoulders and back. It is often accompanied by palpitations, shortness of breath, sweating and cold limbs. The condition is critical. The location of the lesion, the degree and characteristics of the pain, the accompanying symptoms and its prognosis are significantly different from stomach pain.

2. Stomach pain and flank pain

The symptom of flank pain is pain in the flank, which may be accompanied by fever and chills, or yellow eyes and skin, or chest tightness and sighing, and rarely accompanied by noisy stomach, heartburn, belching and vomiting. The stomachache caused by liver qi invading the stomach can sometimes also attack the flanks, but the symptom is still pain in the epigastric area. There is a clear difference between the two.

3. Stomach and abdominal pain

Abdominal pain refers to pain in the entire area below the epigastric area and above the pubic hair line. Stomachache is characterized by pain in the upper abdomen near the heart. The only difference between the two is the location of the pain. However, the stomach is located in the abdomen and connected to the intestines. Therefore, in some special diseases, stomach pain can affect the abdomen, and abdominal pain can also involve the stomach. This requires distinguishing the main location of the pain and how the disease occurs.

7. Key points of syndrome differentiation and treatment

We should differentiate between deficiency and excess, cold and heat, and the condition of qi and blood. For those with excess pain, the pain is often severe, fixed, resistant to pressure, and the pulse is strong; for those with deficiency pain, the pain is often slow, the pain location is uncertain, the patient likes to be pressed, and the pulse is weak. If the pain is aggravated by cold and relieved by warmth, it is a cold symptom. If there is burning pain in the stomach and the pain is urgent, it is aggravated by heat and relieved by cold, it is a heat symptom. Generally, the initial illness is in the qi, while the long-term illness is in the blood.

Treatment principles

The treatment is mainly to regulate qi and relieve stomach pain, and then to treat the deficiency and the excess. For those with cold stomach, dispelling cold is the so-called unblocking; for those with food stagnation, digesting food is the so-called unblocking; for those with qi stagnation, regulating qi is the so-called unblocking; for those with heat depression, relieving heat is the so-called unblocking; for those with blood stasis, resolving blood stasis is the so-called unblocking; for those with yin deficiency, nourishing yin is the so-called unblocking; for those with yang deficiency, warming and moving spleen yang is the so-called unblocking. Only by adopting corresponding treatment methods according to different pathogenesis can we make good use of the "Tong" method.

The eighth month of pregnancy is when the fundus of the uterus is at its highest. The enlarged uterus presses on the stomach, causing it to move upward. The stomach contents reflux into the lower esophagus, causing a burning sensation and discomfort in the stomach. This is a normal phenomenon. Try not to bend over or lie down after meals to relieve symptoms. Generally, when you are nine months pregnant, the fetal head moves down, the pressure on the stomach is reduced, and the symptoms are relieved.

If you feel stomach discomfort in the eighth month of pregnancy, it may be caused by the squeezing of the uterus. As the uterus grows, the pressure on the stomach becomes greater, so you will feel stomach discomfort. Remember to drink more water and rest more.

In fact, there are many physiological and psychological changes during pregnancy. These are all unexpected for new mothers. At this time, expectant fathers should also accompany expectant mothers to find and solve problems together. Especially when expectant mothers find any changes in their bodies, don’t panic, it’s better to consult a doctor!
