What is endocrine disorder?

Endocrine disorders are very common and need to be treated promptly. Endocrine disorders have a great impact on physical health. Common causes include obesity and breast diseases. These problems are relatively complicated to treat and will worsen if not promptly improved. So what are endocrine disorders? This is something many people are not clear about. Below is a detailed introduction so that you can have some understanding.

What is endocrine disorder?

The human body has an endocrine system that secretes various hormones and works with the nervous system to regulate the body's metabolism and physiological functions. Under normal circumstances, various hormones are kept in balance. If this balance is disrupted for some reason (too much or too little of a certain hormone), this will cause endocrine disorders and lead to corresponding clinical manifestations. Both men and women can experience endocrine disorders.

female

The female endocrine disorders we often talk about generally have the following symptoms:

1. Skin deterioration: Many yellow spots, dark complexion and pigmentation suddenly appear on the skin, and applying a lot of cosmetics is of no help. In fact, this is not just a skin problem. These pigmentation spots are also caused by adverse stimulation from external factors when the endocrine system is unstable.

2. Irritable temper: Menopausal women often have irritable temper, mood swings, sweating, bad temper, etc. This may be caused by endocrine dysfunction in women.

3. Gynecological diseases: Gynecological endocrine diseases are very common. Endometriosis, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and menstrual disorders are all gynecological endocrine diseases. Some breast diseases are also related to endocrine disorders. Some facial pigmentation is also caused by endocrine disorders.

4. Obesity: "Even drinking cold water will make you gain weight," many people often express this sentiment. According to an endocrinologist, this may be related to the individual's endocrine disorder. Eating habits such as high-calorie, high-fat foods and not paying attention to dietary balance can also have an impact on the endocrine system.

5. Infertility: Some women have been married for many years and have normal sex life, but have no hope of getting pregnant. I went to the hospital for a check-up and the doctor told me to adjust my endocrine system first. The reason is endocrine disorders, which make the cerebral cortex unable to regulate endocrine properly, resulting in the normal secretion disorder of certain hormones closely related to pregnancy, affecting pregnancy; or the endometrium is damaged and unresponsive to female hormones, which reflexively affects the regulation of endocrine and reduces the chance of successful conception.

6. Breast diseases: Breast pain and breast hyperplasia are mainly caused by endocrine disorders. The more important function of the breast is to promote its growth and development through the secretion of estrogen. Therefore, once the endocrine system is unbalanced or disordered, it is easy to cause breast hyperplasia and breast cancer.

7. Excessive body hair: Regardless of gender, the endocrine system in the body will produce and release both male hormones and female hormones at the same time. The difference is that boys have more male hormones and women have less male hormones, which results in their respective characteristics. However, when the endocrine system in the body is out of balance and women secrete too much male hormone, they may have symptoms of hirsutism.

8. Gray hair and premature aging: Gray hair and premature aging may also be an endocrine problem. In addition, endocrine disorders, especially the decrease in sex hormone secretion, is an important cause of human aging.

9. Tinnitus: Menopausal women often complain of tinnitus, but hearing tests are normal. In addition to tinnitus, they also have some unexplained symptoms, such as tinnitus when touching the earlobes or tapping the scalp with their hands.

male

1. Acne on the face: In a sense, many boys get acne on their faces, which is actually caused by endocrine disorders. It is just a mild manifestation of endocrine disorders and can be adjusted by oneself.

2. Testicular endocrine abnormalities: Primary testicular dysfunction, the more common ones are Klinefelter syndrome, radiation damage, cytotoxic damage, malnutrition, etc.; secondary testicular dysfunction, such as Kallmam's syndrome, male pseudohermaphroditism due to androgen receptor deficiency, etc.

3. Adrenal diseases: Addison's disease (adrenocortical insufficiency), Cushing's syndrome (hypercortisolism), feminizing adrenal cortical tumors, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, aldosteronism and other diseases can all cause male infertility.

4. Thyroid disease: severe hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism can affect reproductive function. When the thyroid gland is underactive, testosterone synthesis decreases, sperm production is inhibited, and sexual dysfunction occurs. Hyperthyroidism is often accompanied by male breast development, decreased libido, and impotence.

5. Pituitary lesions: Hyperpituitarism may cause increased sexual desire and changes in body shape in the early stages, followed by decreased sexual desire, abnormal semen, impotence, and infertility. Hypopituitarism, such as pituitary tumors, inflammation, surgical injuries or radiotherapy that damage the pituitary gland, can lead to hypopituitarism, decreased sexual desire and sexual intercourse ability, testicular atrophy, and spermatogenesis disorders. Pituitary tumors can increase the level of prolactin in the blood, interfere with the secretion of LH, inhibit testicular spermatogenesis and cause impotence, leading to male infertility.

After understanding what endocrine disorders are, you can choose the above-mentioned medicines to relieve the problems when you have them. At the same time, when improving endocrine disorders, you should pay attention to exercise and diet. Exercise should be arranged reasonably and diet should be regular. This will be very effective in alleviating endocrine disorders.
