Birth, aging, sickness and death are the immutable laws that everyone must experience in their life. Just like birth, aging, sickness and death, a woman must go through six physiological stages in her life: infancy, childhood, adolescence, sexual maturity, menopause and old age. Many women only know about several other physiological stages, and do not know that menopause is also a physiological stage that women must go through in their lifetime. Therefore, they often have a fear of menopause at this time, which aggravates the symptoms of menopausal syndrome. For women who are about to enter menopause, there is no need to worry too much about the impact of menopause on themselves. As long as they keep a calm mind and go with the flow, they can still go through menopause safely. Stage 1: Infancy The early childhood period refers to the period from birth to 3 years old. Newborn babies develop physically very rapidly, and their height and weight increase very quickly. At one year old, the growth rate slows down slightly, but the range of activities increases and the contact with the surrounding environment increases. Due to the special physiological structure of women, the reproductive system of girls during this period must be extra cared for. Girls' external genital organs should be cleaned regularly, and special attention should be paid to their clothing. Stage 2: Childhood After a woman has gone through the infancy period, the age period between 3-12 years old is called childhood. Although children's height, weight and growth are rapid, their gonads and reproductive organs still remain at the state of a child, so the care and protection of girls' external reproductive organs should not be neglected at this time. Stage 3: Puberty Puberty is the transition period from immaturity to maturity of female reproductive organs. According to the division of physiological age, it generally refers to girls aged 13-18. During this period, women's height and weight development reaches the second peak, and their sexual function gradually matures. The physiological characteristics of adolescent women are first manifested in the maturation of reproductive organs and the onset of menstruation; secondly, the breasts become fuller and the armpit hair and pubic hair gradually grow; then, the voice becomes higher and the pelvis becomes wider. Fat also climbs onto the shoulders, chest, buttocks and other parts of the body, and the female body curves become increasingly obvious. After entering puberty, as their reproductive organs gradually mature, girls will develop curiosity and impulsiveness about sex. Stage 4: Sexual maturity Generally, women enter sexual maturity at around 18 years old, which lasts for about 30 years. This period is the reproductive period for women and also the time when their physiological functions are most active. As the body and reproductive organs develop and mature, the ovaries will ovulate and produce hormones periodically, resulting in regular menstrual cycles. The breasts, reproductive organs and even the entire body will undergo cyclical changes. Stage 5: Menopause Menopause is a transitional period when women's reproductive function gradually declines from its peak, and it is also a transitional period when ovarian function gradually declines to complete disappearance. Due to the influence of many factors such as physique, living environment, genetics, diet, and living habits, the age at which women enter menopause and the duration of menopause will also vary. The age can start at 40-” and the duration can vary from 10 to 20 years. The main manifestation of this period is menstrual changes, that is, menstruation changes from normal to irregular and then to menopause. Therefore, the medical community calls this period perimenopause. Although women at this time have lost their fertility, they still have sexual needs. They are also prone to sexual dysfunction, such as pain during intercourse, vaginal dryness, and decreased libido. A small number of people may also experience other symptoms before and after menopause, which is medically known as menopausal syndrome. Perhaps it is because menopause brings too many changes to women, so many women have a fear and panic about menopause. Some even develop mental and neurological symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and insomnia due to the arrival of menopause. In fact, according to expert research, women spend a quarter of their lives in menopause, so there is no need to panic about the various uncomfortable symptoms that occur during this period. If we do not view menopausal syndrome from a pathological perspective, but only consider it from a physiological perspective, as long as women view menopause with the same mentality as they did during infancy, childhood, adolescence, and sexual maturity, they will find that menopause is not as terrible as they imagined. This good mentality will also delay or alleviate the occurrence of menopausal syndrome. Stage 6: Old Age Old age refers to the period from the aging of a woman's body to the age of 60. During this period, women's reproductive organs further atrophy and their ovarian function completely fails, so they are prone to symptoms such as osteoporosis, muscle relaxation, memory loss, and fat deposition. The functions of various organs in elderly women generally decline and their immunity decreases, so they should pay more attention to health care in daily life. A woman's life, from birth, development, maturity to aging, is a gradual process. Each physiological cycle will vary due to the influence of multiple factors such as genetics, environment, nutrition, and climate. Even Menopause is just one of these physiological cycles. Therefore, female friends do not need to be afraid or anxious about the various discomforts that occur during menopause. Keep a calm mind, be the master of yourself in each period, and you will be able to go through menopause smoothly. |
