3. The operator should wear rubber gloves and apply lubricant. 4. To test the tightness of the dilator, after insertion, check whether the rectal cavity has dull pain, lumps, fluctuations or narrowing. If a lump is touched, its size, location and strength must be determined. Male patients can touch the prostate, and female patients can touch the cervix. Don't mistake these for lumps. If necessary, a bimanual examination should be performed, and after withdrawal, it should be observed whether there is any blood stain or mucus.
