If the HPV test is positive, many female friends will take the result to see a doctor and get medicine, hoping to kill this "annoying" HPV infection as soon as possible! However, many friends who have sought medical treatment should have felt this deeply - doctors generally do not recommend medication. Why is that? First of all, we need to understand that HPV infection is the same virus as the common cold we catch. HPV infection is so common that according to foreign data, women have an 80% chance of being infected with HPV in their lifetime. Fortunately, most women clear the virus after infection. After discovering HPV infection, it is very important to conduct cervical cytology screening to determine whether there is cervical disease. This is more critical for management decisions on how to deal with the next step. What are the actual types of HPV infection? There are three types of HPV infection: latent infection, subclinical infection and clinical infection. The type of HPV infection determines the type of treatment. Latent infection: The virus can be detected, but no signs of disease caused by the virus can be found. Subclinical infection: Viral infection can be detected. Some special tests can reveal infection manifestations that are invisible to the human eye, but there is no evidence of malignancy in pathological and physiological tests. Clinical medical infection: Diseases visible to the human eye occur, or pathological examinations reveal mutations. The good news for everyone is that most HPV infections are eliminated by the body's powerful immune system during the latent infection and subclinical infection stages. If only HPV is positive but cervical cytology is normal, you can continue to observe. However, if HPV16 and 18 are continuously positive, a colposcopy should be performed immediately. In the case of HPV positive and cervical cytology positive, further colposcopy should be considered to determine whether there are precancerous lesions. To deal with common influenza viruses, do we powerful humans have any magic remedies? We don't use any medicine to treat the influenza virus, and the same applies to the HPV virus. At this stage, we do not have reasonable medication treatment. Since the skilled doctors are helpless, should we just do it half-heartedly? Not really. The standard for HPV infection is "seeing a doctor but not curing the virus"! 1. How do people get infected with HPV? Everything is harmful if used in sufficient quantities! The high pathogenicity of the viral infection, the viral load and the body's resistance, these three criteria determine whether the body is infected with the HPV virus. These three standards are also the factors that need to be detected for the primary type of viral infection. For example, if the type of viral infection detected this time is type 16, and it is still type 16 next time, this is called persistent infection, especially if the same type is continuously infected for more than 2 years, then its risk is higher. There is also the viral load. The greater the significance of the viral load, the more each type of viral infection will cause the viral load under symptomatic conditions to be different. For example, type 16 may cause disease even with a very low viral load because of its strong virulence. If it is type 66, it may take a lot of viral load to cause the disease. 2. Treatment or waiting? The 2010 edition of the British HPV infection treatment manual clearly states: All treatments are only for diseases caused by HPV, not for the HPV virus itself! The medication guidelines in our country do not mention the need to carry out antiviral treatment for HPV independently. For diseases that have no ocular or pathophysiological confirmation, there is no need for treatment at all. In other words, treatment is only necessary when there is a disease visible to the naked eye (such as genital warts) or pathologically confirmed lesions (such as CIN). Corresponding to the types of HPV infection mentioned above, latent infection and subclinical infection do not require treatment. After being infected with HPV, it can be cured by resting, exercising and improving immunity. This is why most doctors focus on enhancing the immunity of infected people. In recent years, the use of rare ginsenosides to enhance immunity has also been recognized by many people, especially Jin Xing's ginsenoside Rh-2, which can not only act on cellular immunity, but also stimulate the buffering effect of immune factors, and play a role in enhancing immunity. So, for the most common question everyone asks: If HPV infection is detected during a routine physical examination, is treatment necessary? The answer is as follows: If TCT and other tests are normal, it is just a simple HPV infection and does not require any treatment. It can be cured by improving immunity through rest, exercise, and taking healthy foods. Just have regular follow-up visits! |
