Causes of left waist pain in girls

Causes of left waist pain in girls

Many women usually find that they have varying degrees of pain in their waist. Some women will experience this symptom before menstruation, which is very obvious. Therefore, this situation is a normal manifestation. However, if you have this symptom under normal circumstances, it may be caused by other diseases. This should be taken seriously. In this case, it is best to go to the hospital for examination to confirm your own condition and get timely treatment, so as not to aggravate the symptoms. So what causes pain on the left side of a woman’s waist?

1. Kidney stones

Low back pain is also a more obvious symptom of kidney stones. Generally speaking, the pain of low back pain caused by kidney stones is located higher up, above the waist and on both sides of the intervertebral disc. For patients, if they experience low back pain, they must go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time to determine whether the low back pain is caused by kidney stones, and do a good job in preventing kidney stones to prevent the condition from worsening and causing kidney function impairment.

2. Intervertebral disc disease

It is common in middle-aged women. As age increases, the symptoms of compression of the intervertebral disc nerves will increase. Latent spinal column dislocation caused by degenerative changes is a common disease, which can easily cause lumbar stenosis, compression of spinal nerves and nerve roots, and cause low back pain and radiating pain in the lower limbs, usually due to pyramidal collapse fractures caused by osteoporosis. The formation of osteophytes in the elderly can cause spinal muscle stiffness and persistent low back pain.

3. Reproductive diseases

The incidence of female reproductive organ inflammation is relatively high, such as chronic adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, pelvic connective tissue inflammation, salpingitis, etc. This kind of inflammation is very likely to be complicated by low back pain. Patients with pelvic tumors such as uterine fibroids, cervical cancer, and ovarian cysts may experience low back pain due to tumor compression of nerves or tumor cell invasion of pelvic connective tissue. In addition, abnormal uterine position such as uterine protrusion, retroflexion, and prolapse can also cause low back pain.

4. Lumbar muscle strain

People who work standing up for a long time, stand continuously, and often carry heavy objects on their backs, because of the continuous standing, the flexion and extension ability of the lumbar tendons and ligaments are weakened, and excessive lactic acid bacteria can accumulate in some parts, which inhibits the normal metabolism of the lumbar muscles, puts a heavy burden on the waist, is prone to scoliosis, and can also cause low back pain caused by lumbar muscle strain. Abnormal standing and sitting postures, and wearing too tight belts can also cause low back pain.

5. Spondylitis

After the onset of ankylosing spondylitis, patients will gradually experience pain and/or stiffness in the buttocks, hip bones, lower back and back, which is more obvious when lying down for a long time (at night) or sitting for a long time. It is difficult to turn over. Getting up in the morning or standing up after sitting for a long time can cause obvious stiffness in the waist, but it will be relieved after activity. Some patients feel severe pain in the buttocks and hip bones, which occasionally radiates to the surrounding areas. The harm of ankylosing spondylitis is very great. If not treated in time, it may even cause spinal stiffness, deformity, or even serious injury, affecting normal work and life. Therefore, the principle of early detection and early treatment must be followed.

6. Rheumatism and cold

For women, low back pain is often caused by exposure to wind, dampness and cold during menstruation, during childbirth and after giving birth, which causes bone spurs in the spine. If the waist is twisted, it may develop into a herniated disc, causing severe low back pain and even affecting the flexion and rotation of the spine.

7. Maternal fatigue

During pregnancy, as the fetus grows gradually, the ligaments of the lumbar and pelvic joints of the pregnant woman relax. At the same time, the weight of the uterus also increases with the increase of gestational age, causing the center of gravity of the body to shift. In order to maintain the body's balance, the waist is often raised forward. If you do not pay attention to rest, it is easy to cause low back pain. During pregnancy, the baby's development requires sufficient nutrients such as calcium and phosphorus. If the dietary intake is insufficient, it can cause the pregnant woman's bones to grow, become soft and decalcified, and also cause low back pain. Excessive bleeding during the postpartum period, working too early, being overtired, or catching a cold can also cause low back pain.
