What does the late appearance of the fetal heart rate mean?

During prenatal check-ups, the examination of fetal heart rate and fetal bud during the embryonic development process is also a relatively important examination item. Some pregnant mothers, during the examination, did not detect the fetal heartbeat at the gestational week when the fetal heartbeat and fetal bud should have appeared. So for this kind of situation, what does the late appearance of the fetal heartbeat mean?

After a woman becomes pregnant, the fetal heartbeat and fetal bud should appear at 6-7 weeks or 8 weeks. However, some pregnant women have fetal buds and fetal heartbeats earlier, perhaps around 5 weeks. The presence of fetal buds and fetal heartbeats can be detected through B-ultrasound examination, but the presence of fetal heartbeats requires around 8 weeks.

Some women, during prenatal checkups, only detect the embryonic bud and fetal heart rate, but no fetal heartbeat, even when the pregnancy is already the right week for fetal heartbeat detection. Some women even have no fetal heartbeat at more than 8 weeks of gestation. The late appearance of the fetal heartbeat may mean that there is something wrong with the embryonic development and that fetal growth retardation may occur in the late stages of pregnancy.

This is because the baby develops from the initial gestational sac, and then gradually increases with the number of weeks of pregnancy. It also has corresponding characteristics of the number of weeks of pregnancy. If it only stays in the gestational sac stage, although the fetal bud and fetal heart rate can grow and develop, there is no fetal heartbeat. In the subsequent embryonic development process, it is likely to gradually decline, and even fetal arrest may occur.

Therefore, if this happens, active treatment measures must be taken. According to the doctor's advice, further tests of progesterone levels and human chorionic gonadotropin metabolism should be conducted, and effective measures to preserve the fetus should also be taken.
