Overview of Breast Pain

Breasts are an important part of every woman's body curve and they are the pride of women. If you neglect the care and attention of your breasts, you may develop breast diseases. Breast pain is a problem encountered by many women. If you do not treat your breasts in time, they may become diseased. What is breast disease and what is the cause of breast pain?

Breast pain often comes from non-tumorous breast diseases. Early-stage breast cancer rarely causes pain, except in some advanced-stage breast cancer or inflammatory breast cancer. Breast pain may occur during rest or exercise and may be aggravated by palpation. The pain can be on one or both sides, regular, intermittent or continuous, dull or aching. It may be caused by laser cutting of the skin, injury to the nipple or tube inflammation, or tumor invasion of the nerve endings or inflammation irritating the tactile nerve endings.

1. Breast pain during puberty

The breasts of girls aged 9-13 are just beginning to grow and develop. There is a round knot like a lentil in the breast tissue under the nipple, which is slightly painful. After a girl's menarche, the main manifestation of breast pain during puberty will disappear on its own after maturity.

2. Breast pain during menstruation

This is the most common cause of breast pain, accounting for about 65% of all breast pain, and the age structure is 35 years old. The pain often occurs 3-7 days before menstruation, and the symptoms gradually subside or decrease after menstruation. The pain level varies from month to month and is usually accompanied by a feeling of heaviness, aching or dull pain or sometimes a short-term pricking sensation. Accompanied by breast nodules, which worsen when pressed, active or painful.

3. Breast pain during pregnancy

About 40 days after some expectant women become pregnant, their breasts will expand and become painful because the embryo and villi metabolize a lot of estrogen and corpus luteum. More severe cases can last throughout the pregnancy and generally do not require medical treatment.
