Pregnant woman's right hip hurts when she moves

Pregnant woman's right hip hurts when she moves

Pregnant women often experience pain in the right buttock during pregnancy. The main cause of the pain is the compression of the spine and nerves by the enlarged uterus. In addition, it is also related to the changes in female hormones during pregnancy. This type of pain does not require special treatment. It is recommended to do moderate exercise on a daily basis, apply local hot compresses to relieve it, and supplement calcium and zinc regularly.

What is toe pain?

Pubic pain usually occurs in the late stages of pregnancy. It refers to pain or soreness in the toes (located at the junction of the inner thigh and lower abdomen) of pregnant women. Pubic pain occurs in many pregnant women because as the fetus gradually grows and matures, the fetus is too large and the long-term weight-bearing pressure causes pain or soreness in the toes, roots of the legs, etc., and a type of pain produced in the ischial tuberosity. It's called separation pain. This is a common condition among pregnant women.

Is it normal to have pubic pain in late pregnancy?

In the later stages of pregnancy, most pregnant women will have such problems. As the fetus grows in the mother's belly, the mother will suffer from symphysis pubis separation pain, or back pain. This is normal. The metatarsal bones refer to the bones at the junction of the inner thigh and lower abdomen. The relaxation of the cruciate ligament of the ischial tuberosity will make pregnant women unstable and unsteady when walking. The degree of pain varies from person to person. During pregnancy, pregnant women may feel stretching and pain in the toes, especially when standing up, walking, and going up and down stairs. The pain is very obvious. Some pregnant women feel severe pain; some pregnant women only feel mild discomfort. This varies from person to person. Everyone has different sensitivity levels and the pain sensation is different.

Pubic pain during pregnancy is caused by the influence of growth hormone and the change of the pelvis during pregnancy. The pain will gradually get better after a period of time. If the pain is bearable, it's normal and nothing to worry about. If the symptoms are severe or the pain is unbearable, you should pay more attention to it. It's best to go to the hospital for a physical examination to find out the cause.

So how can you relieve toe pain?

1. Calcium and zinc supplementation

Pregnant women should pay attention to calcium and zinc supplementation to relieve toe pain. During pregnancy, they should eat more calcium-rich foods and supplement calcium and zinc appropriately. Also eat more big bone soup, crucian carp, tofu soup, and lean pork.

2. Take breaks

Pregnant women also need to pay more attention to their daily lives, avoid overwork, be not too anxious, maintain adequate sleep time, avoid excessive exercise, avoid fatigue, avoid sitting astride, lifting heavy objects, avoid spicy and irritating foods, eat cold foods, pay attention to increasing nutrition, and do regular pregnancy check-ups.

3. Massage

When the discomfort in the ischial tuberosity spreads to the waist, back, buttocks or feet, you can relieve the pain through soft massage, and avoid excessive force or stimulation of acupoints to prevent uterine contractions caused by pain or anxiety.

4. Wear comfortable soft shoes

Don't wear high heels during pregnancy. High heels that are too high can easily cause an unstable center of gravity, increase pressure on the waist and toes, aggravate pubic pain in pregnant women, and make it more likely to fall. It is best to wear comfortable shoes with thick soles made of soft material, which will be comfortable to wear and will not hurt your feet, ensuring the quality of walking.

5. Reduce the frequency of climbing stairs

From the perspective of exercise, there are many benefits for pregnant mothers to climb stairs. But you must pay attention to moderation and not overexert yourself. If you have ischial tuberosity or pelvic pain, you should avoid climbing stairs to reduce the chance of joint injuries. Please don't be too aggressive!
