Causes of cervical cancer

Causes of cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is one of the killers that threaten women's health today, so daily gynecological examinations are essential. If gynecological problems are detected, they must be treated as soon as possible. Many diseases are caused by lack of active treatment or untimely detection of the disease. Many women do not know the specific causes of cervical cancer. The following is a detailed introduction to the causes of cervical cancer.

1. Viruses

There are many underlying causes of cervical cancer, but current research has preliminarily confirmed that cervical cancer is caused by some diseases, including herpes virus and human papillomavirus (HPV). Blood tests on the patients also found that 80% of them had been infected with herpes type 2 virus.

2. Estrogen

In addition to the viral factors mentioned above, estrogen also plays an ignominious role in the incidence of cervical cancer in women because estrogen can promote the growth of uterine and vaginal tissues and stimulate cervical epithelial hyperplasia. During pregnancy, the level of estrogen in women's bodies is 25 to 40 times higher than that during the non-pregnant period. This can cause a significant proliferation of the cervical epithelium of pregnant women, and even changes similar to atypical hyperplasia or carcinoma in situ, but it will gradually return to normal after delivery.

3. His Purity

Male dirt during sexual intercourse can also induce cervical cancer, and many studies have suggested that male foreskin dirt is the main cause of unclean sexual intercourse, and therefore is also an important cause of cervical cancer. Unclean sexual intercourse accounts for more than 50% of the causes of the disease, because dirt can cause cervical inflammation in women and the proliferation of viruses.

4. Sexual life

There are many superficial reasons for cervical cancer, but they are mainly related to marriage and sexual life. Early marriage, early childbearing, frequent sexual intercourse, multiple births, cervical erosion, sex hormone imbalance, mental stimulation, etc. can all induce cervical cancer.

5. Marriage

Those most likely to develop cervical cancer are married women, women who have given birth too many children, and unmarried women who have sex too frequently and too early.

6. U-shaped curve

Foreign investigations have found that the incidence of cervical cancer shows a U-shaped curve in terms of female age groups, which means that young and old women are more likely to suffer from cervical cancer, while middle-aged women are less likely to suffer from it, that is, it is high at both ends and low in the middle. The specific age groups are: young women under 25 years old and women over 55 years old are more likely to suffer from this disease.

7. Younger

There are other reasons why women in China suffer from cervical cancer, and the incidence does not show a U-shaped curve, but rather shows a gradually increasing trend with age. In China, women suffering from cervical cancer are most likely to be between 36 and 50 years old, and women in this age group account for about 57% of the total number of patients. Women aged 41 to 45 are most likely to suffer from cervical cancer. However, in recent years, cervical cancer cases in urban hospitals across the country have also shown a trend of becoming younger.

8. Multiple pregnancies

The incidence of cervical cancer increases with the number of pregnancies. The incidence of cervical cancer in women who give birth to more than 7 children is more than 10 times higher than that in women who give birth to 1 to 2 children.

9. Smoking women

The incidence of cervical cancer in women who smoke and women who have quit smoking is 1.7% and 0.7% higher than that in women who have never smoked, respectively. The more a person smokes, the higher the incidence.

10. Lifestyle

An unhealthy lifestyle is also a factor in cervical infection and the development of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is associated with cervical erosion, laceration and ectropion. Due to the physiological and anatomical reasons of the cervix itself, it is more susceptible to stimulation from various physical, chemical and biological factors, including creation, hormones and viruses. It is particularly important to note that women with cervical erosion have a higher incidence of cervical cancer.
