Why is one labia long and the other short?

The biggest difference between women and men lies in their genitals. The female genitals are more sensitive, so individuals must pay attention to protecting them. The vulva is a relatively special organ, especially the labia area, which should be kept clean at ordinary times. But why are one labia very long and the other very short? This phenomenon is normal and women don't need to be too nervous. But women must choose pure cotton or silk underwear, and not wear underwear that is too tight.

The labia is part of the female external reproductive organs, which includes the labia majora and labia minora, like two "gates" to protect the vaginal opening and urethral opening from infection.

During a girl's childhood, the two labia are tightly closed with a slight gap in the middle. After puberty begins, pubic hair begins to grow on the outside of the labia majora, while the inside becomes smooth and moist. After entering puberty, small raised spots will grow on the inner side of the labia, which are oil glands. These glands secrete oil to keep the area lubricated.

Every woman's labia is not exactly the same. For most women, the labia majora are larger than the labia minora, but there are exceptions. For some women, the labia minora are larger than the labia majora, or the two labia are of different sizes. This is all normal and will not affect sexual life and reproductive function. Some people may experience discomfort in their genitals due to the protruding labia minora, so they should try to wear loose underwear.

Labia majora function

The female labia majora is equivalent to the male scrotum.

The Bartholin's glands (equivalent to the male's bulbourethral glands) are buried deep in the labia majora on both sides of the vaginal opening. The Bartholin's glands continuously secrete mucus to lubricate and clean the vagina, maintaining the ecological balance within the vagina. The labia majora are the most loyal defenders of the Bartholin's glands.

The origin of a special smell. In the labia majora, there are special sweat glands similar to those in the armpits, which emit the same smell. This smell can attract and induce the opposite sex and stimulate their sexual excitement.

The spongy bodies of the vestibular bulbs are widely distributed under the fat of the labia majora, which can make the labia majora swell like a ball. When two sexes have intercourse, the labia majora become engorged and swell, acting as a spring cushion for the piston movement, pushing the penis into the vagina.

In addition, the expanded labia majora also has the caressing effect of squeezing and "gripping" the penis. During sexual intercourse, if you place your palm on the inside of the labia majora, you will feel a "tight grip". Therefore, the labia majora plays an important role in improving the quality of sexual life and strengthening the relationship between couples.

In the eyes of most people, the labia majora located in the perineum of women are just two pieces of dispensable skin wrinkles. How can they have any function?

In fact, the labia majora is an indispensable part of the female external genitalia. In the early embryonic stage, the reproductive organs of men and women originate from the same "germ". As the embryo develops, it gradually differentiates into male and female, and the genitals show gender differences. However, some of their structures and functions are still extremely similar. The female clitoris is equivalent to the male penis, or it can be said to be a smaller penis. Both have rich nerve endings and are extremely sensitive to stimulation from the opposite sex. The female labia majora is equivalent to the male scrotum. The male scrotum is the "loyal guard" of the testicles and plays a vital role in the production of sperm and male hormones by the testicles.
