The uterus is the most important part of a woman's body because the development of life takes place in the uterus. But women's uterus is often prone to disease problems, which is more troublesome. Because if uterine infection or endometrial inflammation occurs, timely treatment is necessary. But what does rough endometrium mean? It may be caused by endometrial hyperplasia. The endometrium of women is very thin. In the early stage of endometrial hyperplasia, the thickness is about four to six millimeters. In the middle stage of hyperplasia, the thickness is about eight to ten millimeters. In the late stage, the thickness is about nine to ten millimeters. The endometrium will become very rough. It may be caused by endocrine disorders. Women have an ovulation period every month. After ovulation, the endometrium is prone to proliferate and the secretions will become more. Ten days after ovulation, the endometrial hyperplasia will become more severe, so it will become more rough. If the endometrium becomes rough, you must first find the cause to see whether it is caused by endocrine disorders or ovarian functional tumors. Only in this way can you use the correct method to treat the symptoms. The correct method should be chosen according to different ages and different situations. You can choose drug treatment or consider surgical treatment. What is endometrial hyperplasia Endometrial hyperplasia develops from thickening of the endometrium and can be divided into three categories: 1. Simple hyperplasia: Long-term stimulation of estrogen due to lack of progesterone resistance leads to physiological response of the endometrium. 2. Complex hyperplasia: The glands in the affected area are crowded. 3. Atypical hyperplasia: It is an intraepithelial neoplasia of the endometrium, that is, the glandular epithelium is atypical. It is divided into three degrees: mild, moderate and severe according to the condition. Endometrial hyperplasia has a certain tendency to become cancerous, but based on long-term observation, the vast majority of endometrial hyperplasia is reversible or will remain in a benign state. Only in rare cases may cancer develop after a longer time interval. Whether it is adolescent girls or perimenopausal women, or patients with a disorder in a certain link of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis or polycystic ovary syndrome, they may experience anovulation, causing the endometrium to be continuously affected by estrogen for a longer period of time, lacking progesterone to counteract and transform into a cyclical secretory phase, thereby proliferating. Patients receiving postmenopausal estrogen replacement therapy and postmenopausal patients with advanced breast cancer who use tamoxifen for a long time are at risk of endometrial hyperplasia. |
