Can I swim during ovulation?

The ovulation period is the time when the follicle matures fourteen days after a woman's menstruation. During this period, a woman's chances of becoming pregnant will increase to a certain extent. However, during this period, the female vaginal membrane becomes thinner and is very susceptible to infection, and the water in the swimming pool is not very clean. In addition, there is a chance that sperm can survive in the swimming pool, so there is a very small risk of sperm implantation.

Ovulation refers to the process in which the egg cell and the surrounding cumulus granulosa cells are released together.

A woman's ovulation date is generally around 14 to 16 days before the next menstrual period. After the egg is released from the ovary, it can survive in the fallopian tube for 1-2 days, waiting for fertilization; the male's sperm can maintain its fertilization ability in the female's reproductive tract for 2-3 days, so it is easy to get pregnant through sexual intercourse a few days before and after the egg is released. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days, the ovulation period. Because it is easy to get pregnant through sexual intercourse during the ovulation period, the ovulation period is also called the fertile period or the dangerous period.

As we all know, women are not allowed to swim during their menstrual period.

But people usually don't pay too much attention to the ovulation period. Experts say that if you bleed during the ovulation period, you should not go swimming. In addition, swimming during the normal ovulation period also has certain risks, so you need to try to avoid it.

Do not swim during ovulation bleeding.

At the same time, remember to avoid swimming during the menstrual period. It is best to swim 3 days after the menstrual period. Strengthen self-protection during swimming. Even if there is no gynecological inflammation or women who are not menstruating, they should be careful when swimming.

If ovulation bleeding occurs, it is mild and does not require treatment.

If the pain is severe and does not ease for a long time, or if the symptoms are severe and recur, you should go to a professional gynecological hospital and ask a gynecologist to diagnose and treat to rule out other gynecological diseases. Those with heavy bleeding or fertility issues can use medication to treat it. Western medicine generally focuses on hormone therapy, while traditional Chinese medicine is unique in regulating endocrine function and stopping bleeding, and it is advisable to combine Chinese and Western medicine for treatment.

Regardless of the frequency of occurrence and severity of the symptoms, personal hygiene must be maintained during menstruation and ovulation bleeding.

Follow various health care measures and avoid bathing, sexual intercourse, etc. to avoid ascending infection by pathogenic bacteria. At the same time, engage in appropriate physical exercise to enhance physical fitness and improve disease resistance. During the bleeding period, you should avoid overwork and rest more; if the abdominal pain is severe, you can apply hot compress to the abdomen; you should avoid eating irritating foods such as spicy, hot, and dry foods to avoid increasing the bleeding and prolonging the bleeding time.
