Itchy nodules on scrotum

Itchy nodules on scrotum

Male scrotal itching is a very common disease, mostly affecting young men. The causes of scrotal itching are many and complex, including both internal and external factors. Scrotal itching is mostly caused by scrotal eczema, allergic dermatitis, scabies and other diseases. Many people with allergic constitutions, those who are under long-term mental tension and have large mood swings are prone to this disease. So what should men do when they suffer from itchy nodules on their scrotum?

Scrotal scabies nodules, like scabies nodules on other parts of the body, need timely treatment. Treatment should not be delayed due to embarrassment, which will lead to worsening of the condition. Scabies is a skin disease caused by the parasitism of scabies mites. It usually appears on the soft parts of the skin on the body, and the scrotum is also one of the high-incidence sites. Scabies nodules are soybean-sized light red nodules that feel hard and are accompanied by itching symptoms, which are called scabies nodules.

Moreover, the regression of scabies nodules is relatively slow. In addition, scrotal scabies nodules are highly contagious and are often transmitted from one family to another or from one dormitory to another. Scabies can survive 2 to 3 days outside the human body. Therefore, using clothes, bedding, shoes, socks, hats, and pillowcases used by patients can also be indirectly transmitted. In many cases, when patients find out that they have scabies, they have already had it for a long time. When they go to the hospital for treatment, the most the hospital can do is give you systemic sulfur ointment or lindane cream, which can only relieve the symptoms of scabies, causing the disease to become more severe and inconvenient for treatment. The treatment time of scabies is relatively prolonged, so many people spend more than a year on treatment, and may not be able to cure the scrotal scabies nodules.

In summary, scrotal scabies nodules are not a simple disease. Everyone must always pay attention to changes in their body parts. Once you find something slightly unusual on the surface of the scrotum, you should go to the hospital for a physical examination as soon as possible to ensure early detection and early treatment to prevent the spread of the disease. In addition, patients with scrotal scabies nodules should avoid having sex, otherwise they may infect their partner.
