Can you tell the gender of your baby one month into your pregnancy?

For expectant fathers and mothers, although the idea of favoring boys over girls has been alleviated, they still urgently want to know the gender of the baby in their belly, because this is the only way to effectively prepare more things for the baby to use after birth. When going to the hospital for a checkup, the doctor usually won't tell the parents the gender of the baby. So can we know the gender of the baby when a woman is one month pregnant?

Can you tell the gender of your baby one month into your pregnancy?

The baby is not yet formed in just one month of pregnancy, so everything is inaccurate. It will take at least three months to know the gender of the baby. The sexual organs of the fetus will begin to differentiate from the eighth week of pregnancy. During the 8th week of pregnancy, the fetus's external genitalia and urethra begin to form and are fully formed by the 15th week. Different gender detection methods have different testing times. Currently, the most commonly used method for identifying the sex of a pregnant woman's fetus is B-ultrasound examination. The period of fetal sex differentiation is between 9 and 12 weeks of pregnancy. B-ultrasound examination during three and a half months or more of three months of pregnancy can determine the gender, but the accuracy rate is not 100%.

There is still a possibility that you are wrong. If it is not medically necessary, it is best not to do it. The best method to identify the sex of the fetus is B-ultrasound. If there is a special need to know the sex of the fetus, an ultrasound examination can be done at three and a half months or more of pregnancy, but the accuracy rate cannot reach 100%. There is still a possibility that you are wrong. If it is not necessary for medical reasons, it is recommended not to identify the sex of the fetus. Generally, hospitals do not allow this identification. It doesn't matter whether you have a boy or a girl, the baby's health is the most important. In the early stages of pregnancy, pregnancy reactions will generally occur. You should eat a light and easily digestible diet, eat small meals frequently, get enough rest, refrain from sexual intercourse, go to the hospital regularly for prenatal checkups, and go to the hospital at any time if you feel any discomfort.

How to know if you are pregnant with a boy or a girl

Medically speaking, an ultrasound examination can be performed around 20 weeks of pregnancy to determine the sex of the fetus. Of course, the premise is that the fetus is in the right position and the doctor can see the child's key parts based on the ultrasound. The differences between boys and girls are already obvious during this period. If your baby is surrounded by amniotic fluid and his feet are not tucked between his legs, the ultrasound data in the third trimester can usually determine the sex of the fetus. A blood test is the quickest way to find out the sex of the fetus. However, there is currently no technology in China that can determine the sex of the fetus through blood testing. Researchers have discovered that a gene called "SRY" only exists on the Y chromosome. Once its presence is detected, it means that the fetus is male. If the SRY gene can be found in the fetal DNA isolated from the mother's blood, the gender question will naturally be solved. Unlike B-ultrasound, which can only observe gender characteristics when the fetus is large enough, this examination method can be performed 7-8 weeks after conception, and its accuracy rate is higher than B-ultrasound, reaching 99.4%.
