Cyst, also known as milk stasis, refers to the inability of the patient to excrete milk during lactation, which accumulates in the breast and eventually turns into a lump. The lump will form a cyst. After the cyst appears, the patient needs to dredge it, otherwise it will lead to further aggravation of breast inflammation and may eventually turn into breast cancer. Breast problems are also very critical and will lead to complications if not treated in time. Breast cysts Breast cyst, also known as milk stasis, is caused by the poor discharge of milk from one lobe of the gland during lactation, resulting in the accumulation of milk in the breast. The main clinical manifestation is a tumor in the breast, which is often misdiagnosed as a breast tumor. Clinically, it is most commonly caused by mammary gland malformation, inflammation, and compression from tumors. When the mammary gland lobule or lobule duct epithelium falls off or other substances block the duct, milk cannot be discharged smoothly and stagnates in the duct, causing the duct to expand and form cysts. The cysts can become infected and lead to acute mastitis or breast abscesses. If there is no secondary infection, they can exist for a long time. The contents of the cysts become thicker, and over time, the water in the cysts can be absorbed, causing the cysts to harden. The cyst wall is composed of a thin layer of fibrous tissue, and the inner surface is lined with a very thin layer of epithelial cells, which even falls off in some places. The cyst contains light red amorphous structural substances and foamy cells that swallow milk. A large number of monocytes, epithelial-like cells, multinuclear giant cells, lymphocytes and plasma cells infiltrating in the interstitium around the cyst can be seen. Small duct dilatation and lactating gland lobule tissue can also be seen. Causes Breast abnormalities Women with dense, firm breasts are more susceptible to breast cancer. In addition, abnormal breast enlargement during adolescence, excessive breast touching during adolescence, or breast plastic surgery by filling the breasts with inappropriate substances to maintain fullness and beautiful appearance are also causes of breast cancer. Regular drinking If a young woman drinks 3 to 6 times a week, calculated as 250 ml of beer or 185 ml of spirits each time, her risk of developing breast cancer in the future will increase by 30% to 60%. Trauma According to a survey, introverted personality and unhappy early life are important factors leading to cancer. Dietary preferences Studies have shown that a high-fat, low-fiber diet can increase the incidence of breast cancer by more than 4 times. Special body shape Women who are particularly obese above the waist, with waist circumference close to hips, or women who are very thin before menopause. Not breastfeeding Studies have shown that the risk of breast cancer in women who do not breastfeed is more than 1.5 times greater than that in women who breastfeed. Never had children or had children too late According to relevant data, the risk of breast cancer in women who have never given birth is 30% higher than that in women who have given birth; the relative risk of breast cancer in primiparas over 35 years old is 3 to 4 times that of primiparas under 30 years old. Have a family history of cancer According to data, people with a family history of cancer, especially those whose parents and sisters have been breast cancer patients, are about 30% more likely to develop breast cancer than other people. Patients with benign breast disease Studies have shown that lesions such as breast cystic hyperplasia, breast simple hyperplasia, and breast fibroids may deteriorate into cancer. |
