Urine is particularly yellow after fever

Many people will experience many changes in their bodies after having a fever, and their urine will be yellower and have a stronger smell. At this time, many people will feel particularly confused, because after having a fever, they will feel pain all over their body, and many complications will follow. Most fevers are caused by inflammation, so why is the urine particularly yellow after a fever?

Clinically, it is found that many patients with prostatitis also have symptoms of yellow urine. Therefore, if men have yellow urine, they should be careful about prostatitis. The common symptoms of prostatitis are dribbling urine, painful urination, burning sensation in the urethra, frequent urination, incomplete urination, urgency, difficulty urinating, and yellow urine.

It is normal to have yellow urine due to inflammation after having a fever. Usually, when you have a fever, you should pay attention to drinking more water to replenish the insufficient blood circulation caused by dehydration, facilitate the filling of the epidermal capillaries, and make the heat in the body easily dissipated through the blood circulation.

Normal urine is light yellow in color. It is more clear when it is cold and more yellow when it is hot. This is related to sweating and how much water you drink, but it can also change with diet. If you consume an acidic diet, your urine will be dark in color, and if you consume an alkaline diet, your urine will be light in color. Sometimes, taking a few riboflavin tablets orally can cause the urine to turn dark yellow. Changes in urine color like these are extremely short-lived and will quickly resolve on their own.

Yellowish-brown urine should be distinguished as bilirubinuria or urobilinuria. Bilirubinuria is often caused by blockage of the intrahepatic or extrahepatic bile duct by inflammation, tumors, or stones, which leads to increased bile duct pressure, bile duct rupture, and bile overflow, causing sodium bilirubin to enter the systemic circulation. When the amount of sodium bilirubin exceeds a certain level, bilirubinuria occurs. Urobilinogenuria is often caused by liver damage, which leads to increased intestinal absorption of urobilinogen, which enters the urine, resulting in urobilinogenuria. Or in patients with hemolytic anemia, after a large number of red blood cells are destroyed, a large amount of urobilinogen is absorbed through the intestinal wall into the portal vein circulation. Since the liver cannot convert the excess urobilinogen into bilirubin, urobilinogenuria also occurs.

Hepatitis can also cause yellow urine, but yellow urine does not mean you have hepatitis. First of all, you should consider whether you are not drinking enough water, sweating too much, or taking any medicine, etc. If yellow urine only occurs once or twice and you do not feel any discomfort, you don't need to worry. If your urine is always yellow, and you feel tired, weak, and have loss of appetite, you need to go to the hospital for a check-up in time.
