Does leucorrhea during lactation mean ovulation?

Generally, women experience leucorrhea when they ovulate. And for women, their bodies ovulate at basically a specific time every month. Moreover, ovulation is an important sign of a woman's fertility, but many women find that they have leucorrhea in their lower body during their breastfeeding period. So, does the vaginal discharge during breastfeeding occur due to ovulation?

What are the symptoms of ovulation during lactation

You may not have your period or your period may be irregular during breastfeeding, but you will still ovulate. For most people, ovulation does not have any symptoms or signs, so you need to use contraception every time you have sex to avoid pregnancy again.

In general, the onset of menstruation is taken as the standard. About 70% of mothers have menstruation accompanied by ovulation. Of course, there are also some women who ovulate but do not have menstruation due to breastfeeding or the fluctuation of progesterone in their bodies.

The recovery of ovulation after delivery is related to whether the mother breastfeeds and the length of breastfeeding. For mothers who do not breastfeed after delivery, ovulation is rare within four weeks. About 10%-15% ovulate within 6 weeks after delivery, and 30% ovulate within 3 months after delivery. Ovulation resumes later in lactating women, usually 4-6 months after delivery, but some may ovulate as early as 6 weeks after delivery. In addition, the age and obesity of the mother may also have a certain impact. Data from Japan show that for mothers over 34 years old and obese, the time of the first ovulation in the postpartum period tends to be delayed.

The time of resumption of menstruation after childbirth is also related to whether the mother is breastfeeding. For those who do not breastfeed after delivery, menstruation can generally resume 6-8 weeks after delivery. The first 1-2 menstruations are mostly anovulatory menstruation, which will resume ovulatory menstruation after 3 months. The percentage of menstrual recovery in lactating women gradually increases with time, reaching 70% by 9 months after delivery. Generally, those who resume menstruation later, the first menstrual

When is ovulation?

The ovaries of women of normal childbearing age release only one egg per month. It takes about 14 days for the primordial follicle to develop into maturity, form a mature follicle and ovulate, during which time it undergoes a series of complex physiological and biochemical reactions. In this process, special cells in the follicle secrete androgens and estrogens. Estrogens regulate the cyclical changes of the endometrium, thus forming the menstrual cycle.

The egg can survive 1 to 2 days after being released, and the sperm can survive 2 to 3 days in the female reproductive tract. The fertilization ability is mostly within 24 hours after ovulation. After 2 to 3 days, the sperm loses the ability to combine with the egg. Therefore, if you have sex 2 to 3 days before ovulation and 1 to 2 days after ovulation, you may get pregnant. This period is called the fertile period or the dangerous period. A woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days, the ovulation period. The rest of the time except the menstrual period is called the safe period.

Anal swelling or pain in one side of the lower abdomen

When a mature egg is discharged from the surface of the ovary, it will break through a thin membrane follicle on the surface of the egg. A small amount of fluid in the follicle will flow into the pelvic cavity. Women will feel a slight feeling of falling in the anus and slight pain in one side of the lower abdomen. Bleeding and temperature rise during ovulation.
