Sore buttocks after cesarean section

Sore buttocks after cesarean section

Caesarean section is a very important method of delivery. When many women's bodies or fetuses show abnormalities, they must adopt this method of delivery. However, after a cesarean section, many women's bodies are prone to abnormalities. A typical one is soreness on both sides of the buttocks. This may be caused by being too tired or sitting for too long. There are still many things to pay attention to in daily life.

Things to note after caesarean section

1. Take care of the wound. Try not to make any big movements after delivery. When coughing or laughing, you can support the wound with your hands or use a pillow to support your abdomen, which will help relieve pain. Take good care of your wound to prevent infection. If there are signs of redness, swelling or even fever in the wound, you should see a doctor immediately.

2. Observe the lochia carefully. The vaginal secretions of postpartum women increase greatly, but as the body gradually recovers, the amount of lochia will decrease, and the color of lochia should gradually change from bright red to pink, and finally to yellow-white. Careful inspection of lochia is a must for women who have undergone cesarean section. If any abnormality is found in the lochia, they should seek medical attention immediately.

3. Wear loose clothing. Mothers should choose a larger size of lace-up underwear or boxer briefs.

4. You can do moderate exercise. 6-8 weeks after surgery, you can start doing some moderate exercise, but you must get the doctor's approval before doing so. It may take several months to a year for a woman who has undergone a caesarean section to fully recover to her pre-pregnancy level, depending on her individual circumstances.

The mother should also follow the following principles:

1. Do not eat too much after surgery. During cesarean section, the gastrointestinal tract is stimulated and its normal function is suppressed, which can easily cause constipation, prolonged delivery, and increased abdominal pressure, which is not conducive to recovery.

2. It is not advisable to eat too much fish after surgery. According to research, fish food contains an organic acid substance that inhibits platelet aggregation and hinders postoperative wound healing.

3. After surgery, you should avoid eating foods that produce a lot of gas. Foods that produce a lot of gas include soybeans, soy products, sweet potatoes, etc. They are easily fermented in the abdomen after eating, producing a large amount of gas in the intestines and causing fermentation.
