What is the menstrual period called?

For women with normal menstruation, the menstrual period is also called the safe period for women. Under normal circumstances, women ovulate between two menstruations or about fourteen days before the next menstruation. This period is the safe period for women. The seven days before menstruation and eight days after menstruation are generally the safe period for women. If you have sex at this time, it is generally not easy to get pregnant, but the safe period is not necessarily safe.

What is the chance of getting pregnant during the safe period?

1. Having sex during the safe period will not normally result in pregnancy. If a woman's menstrual cycle is stable and not affected by other factors, the 7 days before and 8 days after menstruation are generally the safe period. The closer the sexual activity is to the first day of menstruation, the safer it is, and the farther away it is, the more dangerous it is, because the possibility of ovulation is positively correlated with it.

2. For women whose menstrual periods are not accurate, how to calculate the safe period is a very difficult problem. In addition, women's ovulation will be affected by many factors, such as early or late ovulation. This is what we usually call the inability to estimate the safe period normally. In any case, the safe period does not mean it is absolutely safe. If you do not want to get pregnant, it is recommended that women take appropriate contraceptive measures, such as taking emergency contraceptive pills or condoms.

3. The safe period is relative. Generally speaking, the chance of pregnancy for people with regular menstruation is less than 10%. So under normal circumstances, the chance of pregnancy during the safe period is still relatively small, so there is no need to worry too much.

Reasons for safe pregnancy

1. The premise of a safe period is that the menstruation is relatively normal every month, and even if it is delayed, it will not exceed three days. The safe period is also divided into a relatively safe period and an absolutely safe period. Not all safe periods are the same. First, determine the ovulation date, which is half of the menstrual cycle. For example, if the menstrual cycle is 28 days, then the ovulation period is calculated as the 14th day after the next menstrual period. The ovulation day plus one day before and after is called the absolute dangerous period, while the three days before and after are called the relative dangerous period. The four days before and after menstruation belong to the absolute safe period, and the other days are relatively safe periods.

2. Generally speaking, there should be no problem with pregnancy during the absolutely safe period. Condoms should be used during the relatively safe period and the dangerous period. During the menstrual period, be careful not to have sexual intercourse just for the sake of momentary happiness, mainly because the woman is prone to various gynecological diseases.

3. Opinions and suggestions: If a woman's menstruation is not particularly regular, and is often delayed or comes early and lasts for a long time, and if her physical and mental condition is stimulated by the outside world, the time of ovulation may be advanced or postponed. In this case, unprotected sexual intercourse during the safe period may lead to pregnancy.
