How to detect follicles when preparing for pregnancy

Preparing for pregnancy is a process that everyone will go through before getting pregnant. Generally speaking, when preparing for pregnancy, we should check the follicles through some methods. There are many ways to check follicles. We also have many ways to check follicles in different situations, including the situation of preparing for pregnancy. In this case, the way of monitoring follicles is relatively special. So how do we detect follicles when preparing for pregnancy?

Starting from the 9th day of the menstrual cycle, B-ultrasound monitoring is performed once every 2 days. When the diameter of the follicle is found to be 17 mm, monitoring is changed to once a day. When the follicle matures and reaches a diameter of 20 to 23 mm, it is necessary to measure twice a day until ovulation. The B-ultrasound probe frequency is 3.5MHz, which is used to observe the size and shape of both ovaries, and record the number and size of follicles, the number of menstrual days, etc.

Suitable time for follicle detection: Women with regular menstruation: For women with regular menstrual cycles, follicle monitoring starts on the 9th or 10th day after menstruation. At this time, the follicles have been formed and the development of the follicles can be monitored regularly. If no eggs are produced, other examinations will be needed.

Women with irregular menstruation: Follicular monitoring should be started from the 3rd to 30th day of menstruation, because the follicular phase and menstrual period cannot be determined. If abnormalities are found in follicle monitoring, it will affect the normal conception of women.

Things to note when doing follicle monitoring: 1. You must understand the maturation time of the dominant follicle: For women with a menstrual cycle of about 28 days, you can see the dominant follicle (>12-15mm) on the 9th to 12th day of the test.

2. Continuous monitoring should be continuous: Pay attention to the continuity of monitoring. Do not stop monitoring as soon as you see a dominant follicle or a mature follicle. Monitor until ovulation is confirmed or the follicle is hypoplastic or the follicle is yellow.

3. Menstrual cycle: For patients with a long menstrual cycle, follicle monitoring can start from the 10th day

4. Drug monitoring: Patients taking ovulation-inducing tablets should start follicle monitoring on the second day after taking the tablets.

Follicle monitoring usually starts on the 9th-10th day of the menstrual cycle, and is monitored once every 1-2 days using B-ultrasound. Generally, after several B-ultrasound monitorings, you can clearly see the entire process of the follicles gradually growing, maturing and ovulating. For women with a menstrual cycle of about 28 days, the dominant follicle can be seen on the 9th to 12th day of the test. When doing follicle monitoring, attention should be paid to the continuity of monitoring. Monitoring should not be stopped as soon as a dominant follicle or a mature follicle is seen. Monitoring should be continued until ovulation or follicular hypoplasia or luteinization of the follicle is confirmed.
