What to do if clothes have a sour smell? How to remove the sour smell of clothes

What would you do if your new clothes smelled bad? Throw it away or clean it. In real life, most people would choose the latter. After all, no one is a rich man in life. So what should you do if your clothes smell bad? What are some ways to remove the bad smell from clothes in life? This article will tell you the answer and give you clean clothes.

1. How to remove the bad smell from clothes

1. If you are in a hurry to wear it out, you can use a hair dryer on cold air to blow the clothes for 15 minutes.

2. Putting smelly clothes in a place with steam, such as the bathroom after taking a shower, can also effectively remove odors from clothes.

3. Add two spoons of white vinegar and half a bag of milk to clean water, soak the smelly clothes in for 10 minutes, and then wash to remove the odor.

4. Fold the washed and dried clothes, wrap them in a towel, and then put them in the freezer of the refrigerator for 7 or 8 hours, then take them out, unfold them, and hang them outside or on the balcony. Clothes hung in this way will dry quickly and will not have moldy or smelly odors.

5. Use a clean large black garbage bag (or black cotton cloth because it is more breathable), cut it into a size large enough to cover the clothes, clip it with a clip, and hang it in a well-lit and ventilated place. Black can absorb heat and ultraviolet rays, and has a sterilization function. It will not cause damage. It dries faster than natural drying, and is especially suitable for drying clothes on rainy days.

6. Bend the two ends of the wire hanger forward at 1/3, so that the hanger becomes three-dimensional. When you hang clothes to dry, the front and back will not stick together. Ventilation on the inside of clothes can greatly shorten the drying time, and clothes can be dried quickly on rainy days.

2. How to remove odor from clothes

1. Soak in salt water. Because salt can disinfect, sterilize, and prevent cotton from fading, before wearing new clothes, you must first soak them in salt water and then wash them several times with plenty of clean water to reduce the formaldehyde content in the clothes;

2. Bathroom steam method. After taking a shower, hang the smelly clothes in the bathroom, close the door, and use the steam from the shower to evaporate the odor on the new clothes. When you take them out early the next morning, the clothes will be completely odorless.

3. Use natural soap powder with a fresh scent, pour it on the new clothes, add an appropriate amount of clean water, just enough to cover the clothes, soak for about 10 minutes, then rinse with clean water, and put them in a sunny place to dry. You will find that after drying, the new clothes not only have no odor, but become fragrant. Better natural soap powder like Liby soap powder, accompanied by elegant floral fragrance, a combination of multiple floral scents, fresh and pleasant.

3. How to wash yellowed white clothes

1. Soap exposure method. After washing white clothes with soapy water or laundry detergent, rinse them clean and then apply soap again. This time do not rinse them. Instead, put them directly into a clean transparent plastic bag (or fresh-keeping bag) and seal it. Dry them in the sun for 2 hours, then scrub and rinse them. They will be as white as new. If there are more yellowed parts, you can turn the plastic bag over after an hour to ensure that every part of the clothes is evenly exposed to the sun. This soap exposure method is sealed in a plastic bag, which is different from the "avoid sun exposure as much as possible" method in how to prevent white clothes from turning yellow. One is direct exposure, and the other is sealed exposure. The author has personally tested this method several times and found it to be very effective and harmless to clothes, so it is recommended.

2. Combination of beer and blue ink. First, make sure the clothes are clean, and then proceed with the regular steps. Fill a washbasin with half water; pour in half a bottle of beer, with the ratio of water to beer being 2:1; drop in 1/3 of an ink cap of blue ink, until the water turns slightly blue; put the washed yellowed white clothes in the basin and soak for half an hour; finally rinse with clean water.

3. Disinfectant bleaching method. Soak in disinfectant or bleach mixed with water. When using this method, you should pay attention to the ratio of disinfectant to clean water and the soaking time. Disinfectant has a strong cleaning power, but it may cause some damage to clothes. It is recommended that after rinsing, it is best to soak the clothes in clean water for 15 to 30 minutes to reduce the damage of the disinfectant to the clothes.

4. Rice washing water method. Yellowed silk clothing can be soaked in clean rice water. Change the water every day and the yellow color will fade away after two or three days.

5. Washing method with radish soup. If white clothes have a lot of dirt, you can use carrot soup to wash them and they will be as white as new.

6. Spinach water washing method. White clothes that have turned yellow can be soaked in spinach soup soaked in hot water and then washed to effectively remove the yellow stains.

7. Soaking method in orange peel water. When washing white clothes, you can put orange peels in a pot and heat them to boiling. Use the yellow soup to soak and scrub the clothes, and the clothes will be as white as new.

8. Lemon Law. Lemon has a bleaching effect, and rinsing clothes with water added with lemon juice also has a bleaching effect. Especially when washing white socks, put 2 to 3 slices of lemon in hot water, then soak the washed white socks for 10 minutes, the socks will be easily washed. 9. Freezing method. Put the washed clothes into a fresh-keeping bag and put them in the freezer of the refrigerator, and take them out after about an hour. This method is not only applicable to white clothes, but also to other light-colored clothes.

10. Control the water temperature. White clothes are best washed in cold water, or with a rinse water temperature close to the wash temperature. For example, after washing white clothes in warm detergent or soapy water, it is best to use water of similar temperature for the first rinse. If clothes are put into cold water immediately after washing, the detergent contained in the fibers will be surrounded by the sudden cooling and contraction of the clothes, making them difficult to wash off. Detergent left in clothes will cause them to turn yellow.
