What causes hip pain in women?

Many women are very tired and may suffer from low back pain, lumbar muscle strain, arthritis and other diseases. Women may also suffer from many diseases during the confinement period. The scientific name of the hip joint is actually the hip joint. The hip pain or buttock pain we often say refers to the hip joint. So what are the causes of hip joint pain in women? Can I just take some painkillers?

As with other types of chronic pain, women are more likely to experience hip pain than men. But because hip pain can have many different causes, the right treatment is key to getting the best possible treatment. If you injure your hip, the first thing to do is to determine if the hip joint is the problem. Women may mention that they have hip pain, but what they mean is that they have pain in the upper thigh or upper buttocks, or they may be experiencing lower back pain. Hip pain is often felt in the groin or outside of the buttocks, directly over the hip joint (ball and socket joint).

The most common causes of hip pain in women are:

1. Arthritis. Chronic hip pain in women is often due to arthritis, especially osteoarthritis, which affects many people as they age.

2. Hip fracture. Hip fractures are common in older women, especially those with osteoporosis (reduced bone density). Symptoms of a hip fracture include pain when you straighten, lift, or stand on your leg. In addition, the toe on your injured toe may also experience some symptoms, which are signs that can help the doctor make a preliminary diagnosis.

3. Tendonitis and bursitis. The many tendons around the hip joint connect the muscles to the joint. These tendons can easily become inflamed if overused or involved in strenuous activity. Tendinitis of the Hip One of the most common causes of hip pain, especially in runners, is iliotibial band syndrome - the iliotibial band is a thick band of tissue that runs from the outer edge of the pelvis to the outside of the knee.

4. Hernias, in the groin area, femoral and inguinal hernias, sometimes called sports hernias, can cause anterior (frontal) hip pain in women. Pregnant women are susceptible to inguinal hernias because of the increased pressure on the groin wall.

5. Gynecological and back problems. Hip pain in women may have gynecological causes. It is important not to assume that hip pain is caused by arthritis, bursitis or tendonitis. Depending on your age and other health problems, your hip pain could be caused by a number of other issues.

Treatment for hip pain depends on the diagnosis, but pain caused by overuse or sports injuries is usually treated with adequate rest and over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications. To prevent injuries, it is important to stretch before exercise and wear appropriate clothing, especially the right shoes when running.

If certain activities or overuse of the joint trigger hip pain, stop the activities that aggravate the discomfort and talk to your doctor. Being overweight can put stress on the hip joint, so losing weight can help you avoid further problems. Some causes of hip pain, such as fractures or hernias, may require surgical treatment.
