Where does pelvic inflammatory disease occur?

In real life, pelvic inflammatory disease is a very common gynecological disease among women. There are many causes of pelvic inflammatory disease. Generally, it is caused by not paying attention to hygiene. The main location of pelvic inflammatory disease is in the female fallopian tube, which causes inflammation of the fallopian tube. People with pelvic inflammatory disease are also prone to lower abdominal pain, which is very harmful to their health.

Location of pelvic inflammatory disease

Inflammation can be limited to one part or affect several parts at the same time. The most common ones are salpingitis and salpingo-oophoritis.

Symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease

Symptom 1: Lower abdominal pain. Scar adhesions caused by chronic inflammation and pelvic congestion often cause lower abdominal distension, pain and soreness in the lumbar region. It often worsens after fatigue, sexual intercourse, and before and after menstruation.

Symptom 2: Menstrual disorders may cause excessive menstruation in the early stages due to endometrial congestion and ulcers. Most patients have been ill for a long time when they seek medical treatment, and the endometrium has been damaged to varying degrees, manifesting as infrequent menstruation or amenorrhea.

Symptom 3: Infertility is caused by the destruction and adhesion of the fallopian tube mucosa, which often blocks the lumen; or due to adhesions around the fallopian tube, the lumen sometimes remains partially open. However, the mucosal cilia are destroyed, the fallopian tubes become rigid, and their motility is restricted, thus losing their transport function and becoming incapable of conception. Therefore, the vast majority of patients are infertile.

Symptom 4: Systemic symptoms What are the symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease? Most of them are not obvious, sometimes only low fever and fatigue. Due to the long course of the disease, some patients may experience symptoms of neurasthenia, such as lack of energy, general discomfort, insomnia, etc. When the patient's resistance is poor, acute or subacute attacks are likely to occur.

What causes pelvic inflammatory disease?

The main pathogens that cause pelvic inflammatory disease are: Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, anaerobic bacteria, and sexually transmitted pathogens (such as gonococci, Chlamydia trachomatis, mycoplasma, and herpes virus).

The main causes of acute pelvic inflammatory disease are: postpartum or abortion infection, postoperative infection after intrauterine surgery, poor menstrual hygiene, and direct spread of inflammation from adjacent organs. Acute pelvic inflammatory disease can cause the body to develop acute endometritis and acute myometritis, acute salpingitis, pyosalpinx, tubo-ovarian abscess, acute pelvic connective tissue inflammation, acute pelvic peritonitis, sepsis and septicemia, etc.

Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is often caused by failure to thoroughly treat acute pelvic inflammatory disease, or by the patient's poor physical constitution and prolonged course of the disease. It can cause chronic salpingitis and hydrosalpinx, salpingo-oophoritis and tubo-ovarian cysts, and chronic pelvic connective tissue inflammation.

Prevention of pelvic inflammatory disease

1. Take active precautions and don’t indulge in promiscuous sex. If sexual intercourse is unclean, pathogens can enter the pelvic cavity through the vagina and cause infection. According to a survey, if a woman has had more than three abortions, the possibility of uterine disease and harm increases significantly. If artificial abortions are repeated multiple times, it can easily cause uterine infection, cervical or uterine adhesions, leading to secondary infertility. Compared with a decade ago, uterine fibroids are increasingly common in middle-aged women in their thirties and forties, especially those who are childless, have disordered sexual life, and are depressed. According to gynecological experts, the specific cause of uterine fibroids is not yet very clear, but studies have shown that excessive hormone secretion is the most common cause of uterine fibroids, and these three behavioral patterns of women are the culprits that cause endocrine disorders and excessive hormone secretion.

2. Change your underwear frequently and choose loose cotton underwear.

3. Pay attention to proper exercise after delivery, such as lying prone or knee-chest position, to prevent the uterus from falling back and reduce pelvic congestion; if you do not pay attention to rest after delivery, often squatting or doing heavy work, the abdominal pressure will increase, and the uterus will shift downward along the vagina from its normal position. At this time, it is best to choose a gynecological care product with a Ph4 weak acid formula of female care liquid, preferably in combination with Oqins.

4. Patients with malnutrition, weak constitution or chronic diseases should pay close attention to whether there are fungal infections in other parts of the body, actively control the occurrence of the original disease and enhance the body's resistance.

5. Eliminate all routes of infection, keep the perineum clean and dry, and do not use hot water, soap, etc. to wash the vulva. The private parts also need daily care. When cleaning the vulva every day, it is more appropriate to use a female care solution with a Ph4 weak acid formula.

6. Pay attention to hygiene. The underwear of patients with gynecological diseases, used bathtubs, towels, etc. should be boiled in hot water for disinfection; if either men or women suffer from athlete's foot, they should actively seek medical treatment. 7. Actively treat ovarian dysfunction and avoid continued stimulation by estrogen.
