Cervical erosion is a common gynecological disease that can cause great harm to women's health. Fortunately, the treatment methods for cervical erosion are now very mature. If the patient is diagnosed with severe cervical erosion, the following treatment methods can be used: 1. Treatment of severe cervical erosion Cervical cone resection may be considered for patients with severe erosion, deep erosion and papillary erosion. This method is now rarely used due to bleeding and infection. If it is a cervical polyp, it can be removed. Compared with other surgical procedures, LEEP knife surgery for the treatment of cervical erosion has six advantages, namely, it can achieve very precise surgical effects that traditional electric knife surgery cannot achieve. It can greatly reduce various body damages caused by traditional electric knives, such as tissue pulling, tissue carbonization, and damage to tissues around the lesion. The pain suffered by patients is relatively mild, and complications such as scars, bleeding, and infection rarely occur after the operation. Avoid passing electric current through the body and reduce surgical risks. The electrode pads do not need to be coated with electrode paste and will not cause burns to the patient. The operation time is relatively short, only 3 to 5 minutes, and the operation is simple, local anesthesia is sufficient, and the cost for the patient is low. 2. Laser Treatment Advantages: Carbon dioxide lasers are often used to emit light beams to the eroded surface, causing the eroded tissue to carbonize and form scabs. New squamous epithelium can grow after the scabs fall off. Laser therapy has the effects of anti-inflammatory, analgesic and promoting tissue repair. During the treatment of cervical erosion, the depth of burning is easy to control because the laser knife does not touch the cervical tissue. Generally, it can be cured in one time. Discomfort: Vaginal burning sensation may occur during the treatment of cervical erosion. There will be vaginal discharge or bloody discharge 1 to 2 weeks after treatment. The general healing time is about 1 month. There will be no special discomfort during the operation, which lasts about 5 minutes. A small number of patients with cervical erosion may experience bleeding during the decolletage. 3. Cryotherapy Advantages: Using a special rapid freezing device, the pathological tissue on the cervical erosion surface can be frozen, necrotic and shed. The commonly used refrigerant is liquid nitrogen, which can reduce the temperature of the cryostat to minus 196 degrees Celsius. It is placed on the surface of the cervix to freeze the eroded tissue, causing it to necrotize and fall off, and then new epithelial tissue will grow. Cryosurgery does not form scars, so cervical stenosis generally does not occur, and is more suitable for women who want to have children. In addition, freezing can cause local blood vessels to contract and stop bleeding, so patients with cervical erosion rarely bleed after treatment. It can be cured in 1 time. Discomfort: Freezing can reduce the sensitivity of nerves, thus having anesthetic and analgesic effects, so the treatment generally has no adverse reactions. A small number of people may suffer from autonomic dysfunction due to low temperature stimulation, resulting in dizziness, lower abdominal distension and pain, etc. After treatment, patients with cervical erosion have more vaginal discharge, which lasts for 2-3 weeks. 4. Microwave therapy Advantages: Microwaves are used to generate thermal effects, which promote the coagulation of proteins around the cervical tissue, achieving the effects of burning, coagulation and hemostasis, anti-inflammation, sterilization and wound healing. When using microwaves to treat cervical erosion, the doctor has a clear field of vision and the operation is simple. Discomfort: Generally, there is no pain during the operation, there is little bleeding, the treatment surface is evenly deep and shallow, and the wound cells of patients with cervical erosion repair quickly after the operation. 5. Bohm light therapy Advantages: Through the photothermal composite effect, the protein of the eroded tissue is coagulated, the cells are degenerated and necrotic, the scabs fall off, and the body's regeneration and repair are promoted, thereby achieving the purpose of treating cervical erosion. Discomfort: No deep blood vessels will be damaged during the operation, and there will be no heavy bleeding after the operation. The operation is simple, the pain is small, and the treatment is not affected by the intrauterine device. 6. Electric ironing Advantages: Use a special electric iron to burn the eroded surface tissue, causing it to necrotize and fall off, but a certain depth must be reached during the treatment process to achieve an effective treatment effect. When treating cervical erosion, place the electric iron head in contact with the eroded surface and apply slight pressure, moving it from the inside to the outside and back and forth until it slightly exceeds the eroded surface. Discomfort: There may be some mild pain during the procedure, but it is tolerable. Patients with cervical erosion will have heavy vaginal discharge within 2-3 days after surgery, and may have a small amount of vaginal bleeding within 2 weeks. After 2-3 weeks, the wound will shed and the squamous epithelium will begin to repair. |
