Treatment methods for burn scars, these methods are effective

We know that burns are a very serious problem. The high temperature caused by burns will damage the human dermis tissue. Therefore, the chance of burns leaving scars is relatively high. Burn scars are difficult to remove due to their large area and dark color. So what are the ways to treat burn scars?

1. Scar removal method

1: Method 1: With the continuous development of new drugs, the method of injecting drugs into scar tissue has been developed, and it has developed from injecting a single drug to combined medication, and combined with surgery, laser, and topical medications. It is mainly used to treat small scar tissues in the face, neck and chest and other parts. The cost is also relatively small.

Method 2: Strontium electron beam treatment for preventing and treating scar hyperplasia is generally used for patients with large-area scar hyperplasia, keloids, and those who cannot undergo surgery after burns. After the burn wound has healed and before the formation of nodules, irradiation treatment is given. A course of treatment is 4 consecutive times, and the treatment can be repeated after an interval of 1-3 months. It has achieved obvious results and no side effects have been found so far.

Method three: Use expander repair method. The effect is obvious and it is especially suitable for scar repair on exposed parts of the face, neck and limbs. Repair scar tissue by expanding excess skin.

2. Treatment after burns

1: Pay attention to skin cleanliness. When a burn wound is just healing, there is still a small amount of secretion and scab, which makes it easy for bacteria to multiply quickly. In addition, the epidermis is thin and tender, and its structure and function are not perfect, making it easy for infection and ulceration to occur. During this period, you can use a neutral detergent to clean it, and then use anti-scar drugs and other treatments after cleaning.

2: Avoid excessive friction and excessive activity. Due to the imperfect structure and function of the scar epidermis, the epidermis is more susceptible to damage, and some inappropriate treatments may aggravate the damage. When applying anti-scar drugs, you should avoid massaging with excessive force or for too long, as this will cause the epidermis to separate from the fibrous plate layer and form blisters or blood blisters. Excessive movement of the joints will also cause the epidermis to loosen and separate, resulting in blisters.

After a burn in the lower limbs, it is not advisable to get up and move around too early. Because the scar epidermis is weak and the underlying vascular structure and function are imperfect and cannot resist the internal pressure of gravity, the wound surface of the lower limbs will turn purple or even bleed due to ruptured capillaries when standing, which will aggravate scar hyperplasia. It is generally more appropriate for babies to get down to ground and move around at around 3 months old. It is best to use a pressure sleeve for protection before going to the ground, which can reduce scar congestion.

3: Burns and scalds can be treated properly

To avoid severe scarring, good scar removal results can be achieved through drug treatment during the scar maturity stage.
