Issues that women with dark menstrual blood should pay attention to on a daily basis:

1. Women should eat less spicy, raw, cold and other irritating foods, and drink more boiled water. For people with hot blood, it is advisable to eat more fresh vegetables and fruits before menstruation. People with qi and blood deficiency need to increase nutrition, such as milk, eggs, soy milk, chicken, mutton, etc., and avoid eating raw and cold fruits and vegetables.

2. Women should pay attention to genital care and hygiene on a daily basis. Do not have sex during menstruation, keep warm, avoid cold stimulation, and do not overwork. People with heavy menstrual bleeding should avoid eating brown sugar. Do not take cold showers during menstruation and avoid tub baths.

3. Try to wear soft, cotton underwear to maintain good breathability. Wash and change underwear frequently, and dry them in the sun to prevent the growth of bacteria.

4. Avoid negative emotions, mental stimulation and mood swings. It is normal to experience lower abdominal distension, back pain, breast tenderness, mild diarrhea, fatigue, drowsiness, and emotional instability during menstruation.
