How to prevent pregnancy during menopause

The so-called menopause generally refers to a stage in which a woman's ovarian function gradually declines to a complete disappearance. Normal women will experience abnormal menstruation during this period, but women's menopause is not menopause. There is still a certain chance of ovulation during this period, and even two eggs can be produced in a month. Therefore, once ovulation occurs, there is a possibility of pregnancy, and contraceptive measures are still indispensable at this time.

Although women's ovarian ovulation function continues to decline as menopause progresses, it does not mean that there is no ovulation at all. In particular, ovulation cycles are still common in the early stages of the menopausal transition and are gradually replaced by anovulatory cycles. "Due to the decline of ovarian function, the original ovulation pattern is broken, and the ovulation time is difficult to predict. It is even possible that ovulation occurs more than once a month. Women who used to use safe period contraception will find that the original safe period is not safe, and they may get pregnant if they are not careful. Therefore, even if menstruation is abnormal during menopause, contraceptive measures need to be taken!

Experts suggest that the preferred method of contraception for menopausal women should be tool contraception (condoms), which does not contain hormones and drugs and has fewer side effects. When using, if the contraceptive ointment is applied on a condom or vaginal diaphragm, it can also improve the contraceptive effect and lubricate the dry vagina. Menopausal women can also try some other new contraceptive methods, but it is best to use them under the guidance of a doctor.

Women will experience various abnormal reactions during menopause, so you must pay attention to contraceptive measures. You should try to avoid taking contraceptives during this period, otherwise it will make the abnormal menstrual phenomena more serious. In addition, you must also reasonably adjust your spirit and psychology during menopause.
