What are the obvious symptoms of cervical erosion of degree 3?

Among gynecological diseases, the incidence of cervical erosion is relatively high, because the inflammatory secretions stimulate the human body and cause more obvious symptoms. Moreover, even if cervical erosion is cured once, it is easy to recur, which is very troublesome for women. Cervical erosion is clinically divided into several levels, the most serious of which is third-degree cervical erosion. So, what are the symptoms of 3rd degree cervical erosion?

Symptoms

The cervical erosion seen clinically is not actually true erosion. When the epidermis of the external os of the cervix falls off and is replaced by the columnar epithelial tissue of the os of the cervix, because the new epithelium covering the surface is thin, you can even see the blood vessels and red tissue underneath, which looks like real erosion, so it is called cervical erosion.

Three major symptoms of cervical erosion:

1. Increased leucorrhea

Increased vaginal discharge is the main symptom of cervical erosion, and sometimes even the only symptom. Due to the different pathogens, as well as the differences in the scope and degree of erosion, the properties of leucorrhea are also different. If the inflammatory infection is not obvious, the leucorrhea will mainly be transparent mucus; if the cervical erosion is accompanied by obvious inflammatory infection, the leucorrhea will be yellow, purulent and viscous. If the erosion area is small or the lesion is shallow, the amount of leucorrhea may be small. If the lesion is deep and covers a large area, the amount of leucorrhea will be large, and may occasionally contain a small amount of blood. Some patients may also complain of contact bleeding.

2. Pain: Pain symptoms of cervical erosion are rare. When the pathogens spread to a deeper area, it can cause chronic paracervical connective tissue inflammation, lumbar pain, pelvic pain and dysmenorrhea. If the inflammation spreads to the main ligament, sexual intercourse pain may occur, affecting sexual life.

3. Bladder symptoms: Inflammation of the cervix can spread or directly spread to the bladder triangle, thereby stimulating the bladder and causing symptoms of frequent urination and painful urination, and sometimes secondary urinary tract infection.

After suffering from cervical erosion, the amount of leucorrhea will increase and become thicker, and occasionally there may be purulent or bloody leucorrhea. It is often accompanied by low back pain, abdominal pain, and a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen. Contact bleeding may also occur during sexual intercourse, and the appearance of odor is also very likely.

In the case of mild cervical erosion, patients generally have no obvious symptoms and may only feel a slight increase in leucorrhea, so it is very easy to be ignored. Experts say that cervical erosion in many patients is discovered during gynecological examinations or when they seek medical treatment for other gynecological diseases. Patients generally do not discover the symptoms of cervical erosion themselves.

The most obvious symptoms of patients with moderate and severe cervical erosion are: increased leucorrhea, thick yellowish color, or blood in the leucorrhea. A small number of patients have contact bleeding. Long-term irritation of the vulva by inflammatory secretions can also cause vulvar pruritus. In addition, since the cervical lymphatic system is directly connected to the paracervical connective tissue, inflammation can spread to the pelvic cavity through the lymphatic circulation, leading to pelvic connective tissue inflammation, and symptoms such as lumbar pain, and lower abdominal distension. In addition, the sticky and purulent secretions of the cervix are not conducive to the passage of sperm and can cause infertility.

For patients with cervical erosion, they must go to the hospital for a cervical smear and cytology examination before treatment, which will be of great help for subsequent treatment. The treatment time must be chosen within one week after the end of menstruation. If the wound has not healed completely, bathing and sexual intercourse should be prohibited.
