How long after the IUD is inserted can it be removed?

Many women are not in a hurry to have children after marriage, and both parties do not like to use condoms and other contraceptive measures during sexual intercourse, so many of our female compatriots choose contraceptive rings, which we call IUDs. So, if we want to have children again, how long after the IUD is inserted can we remove it to be safe and effective? Let me tell you about the various measures for removing the IUD.

The IUD refers to the intrauterine device. Regarding the question of "time", there is no specific time. It depends on the age and usage status of the IUD selected by the woman when she has it inserted. Generally speaking, menopausal women can go to a regular hospital to have their IUD removed 6 months after menopause.

The general usage conditions are as follows: for example, a stainless steel metal ring can be stored in a woman's body for 10-15 years; a plastic IUD can be stored in a woman's body for 5-7 years, etc.; but some women never remove the IUD after it is inserted, and some even do not remove it for more than 20 years. It does not cause any harm to the body. This is because these women have already adapted to wearing the IUD, so they are unwilling to remove it and are willing to keep it for a long time. If a female friend experiences the following conditions, she should consider removing the IUD.

1. Female friends whose IUD has partially fallen off to the cervix should consider removing it.

2. Women who have irregular bleeding or increased menstrual volume that is more than twice the amount of menstrual flow should have their IUD removed immediately.

3. Patients with acute pelvic inflammatory disease who are not effectively treated should have the IUD removed as soon as possible.

4. Female friends whose IUD has expired can go to a regular hospital to remove the IUD. If they want to continue using the IUD for contraception, they can insert it again.

It can be seen that the usage period of contraceptive rings made of different materials is not the same, so you can choose a suitable contraceptive ring according to your needs. If we want to remove the ring before the expiration date, we should decide whether to remove it based on our personal needs. If the above symptoms occur, we should remove it in time to avoid infection and ensure our own health.
