Causes of acne on the vulva

Causes of acne on the vulva

The occurrence of disease is not caused by just one reason, but is caused by long-term unhealthy life, diet, work and rest habits, etc. In daily life, many women will find that they have acne on their vulva. In fact, this is a relatively common phenomenon. Next, let’s briefly talk about the main causes of vulvar acne.

1. Bad hygiene habits: Not paying attention to the local cleanliness of the vulva, long-term stimulation by sebum, sweat, menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, or immersion in urine and feces can cause pimples on the vulva.

2. Sanitary napkins during menstruation and non-breathable synthetic underwear at other times can induce itching due to long-term accumulation of moisture and heat in the local area.

3. Special infections: Candida vaginitis and Trichomonas vaginitis are the most common causes of vulvar itching.

4. Vulvar squamous cell hyperplasia: The main symptom is severe itching, accompanied by whitening of the vulvar skin.

5. Drug allergy or chemical irritation: Soap, condoms, benzalkonium bromide, etc. can cause contact or allergic dermatitis due to direct irritation or allergy, resulting in symptoms such as vulvar itching.

6. Small bumps on the vulva may be caused by vulvar folliculitis, which is an inflammation caused by non-specific purulent bacteria invading the hair follicles of the vulva. Scratching, friction, high temperature, humidity and sweating are the triggering factors of this disease. When the vulvar skin is stimulated by vaginal secretions such as lochia, inflammatory leucorrhea, sweat, moisture, etc., and the patient does not pay attention to the local cleanliness of the vulva, pathogens invade the hair follicles and cause vulvar folliculitis.

Through the above simple introduction to the causes of vulvar acne, I believe many friends have some simple knowledge and understanding of the problem of vulvar acne. In fact, in daily life, many female genital diseases are caused by inadequate hygiene and cleaning. I hope everyone can change and wash their underwear frequently and disinfect and sterilize them regularly.
