What is the reason for the sudden itching in the vagina?

Many women may have experienced vulvar itching, which can cause trouble in life, work and study. Why does vaginal itching occur? There are many reasons for vaginal itching, not only because of bacterial infection, but also because of daily living habits and personal hygiene. Here are some of the causes of vaginal itching.

The common causes of vulvar itching are as follows:

1. External stimulation: such as not paying attention to the hygiene of the vulva, stimulation from vaginal secretions, vulvar secretions, sweat, moisture, immersion, chemical fiber underwear, unqualified menstrual belts, rough toilet paper, allergies caused by vulvar and vaginal medication, and frequent washing of the vulva with soap can all lead to vulvar itching.

2. Caused by infectious diseases: such as candidal vaginitis, Trichomonas vaginitis, infection with pubic lice, scabies, pinworms, etc. In addition to vulvar itching, candidal vaginitis will also cause tofu-like leucorrhea with an odor. In case of Trichomonas vaginitis, in addition to vulvar itching, there will be foamy leucorrhea with a special odor.

3. Skin diseases of the vulva: The skin lesions of tinea cruris often extend to the vulva, causing severe local itching. Vulvar eczema and neurodermatitis cause more severe local itching

4. Systemic diseases: Systemic diseases mainly include diabetes, anemia, leukemia, polycythemia, skin diseases, hepatobiliary diseases (such as jaundice), kidney diseases, lymphoma, etc. In addition to general itching, vulvar itching is often accompanied.

5. Viral infection: such as genital warts, which cause vulvar itching and foul-smelling leucorrhea. Molluscum contagiosum can also cause vulvar itching, and round papules with a central umbilical depression can be seen on the vulva.

Now that we have introduced these causes of vaginal itching, we must pay attention to them. In daily life, we should pay special attention to personal hygiene, which is also to prevent the occurrence of gynecological diseases. You should pay attention to changing your underwear frequently and not share private items with others, such as towels, underwear, bath basins, etc. You should change sanitary napkins more frequently during menstruation.
