Why does vulvar itching and yellow-green leucorrhea cause itching?

Why does vulvar itching and yellow-green leucorrhea cause itching?

Under normal circumstances, the vulva will not itch, and the color of the leucorrhea should be light white. When the vulva is itchy and the leucorrhea is yellow-green, it means that there is gynecological inflammation. The most likely possibility is vaginitis. Of course, the following conditions may also cause vulvar itching and yellow-green leucorrhea.

.

1. Infectious diseases: Trichomonas vaginitis and candidal vaginitis cause excessive vaginal discharge, which can irritate the vulva and cause itching.

2. Local lesions of the vulva: Vulvar skin diseases such as vulvar eczema, neurodermatitis, chronic vulvar malnutrition, vulvar tumors, etc. can cause vulvar itching.

3. Bad hygiene habits: If you do not pay attention to cleaning the vulva, vaginal secretions or menstrual blood will accumulate in the vulva, causing itching. On the contrary, washing the vulva several times a day, or frequently using strong alkaline soap, or washing the vulva with potassium permanganate water will make the vulva skin too dry and cause itching.

4. Inappropriate clothing: For example, if you like to wear synthetic clothes or use menstrual belts made of rubber or plastic, it will cause poor ventilation of the vulva skin, causing itching due to sweat stains.

5. Stimulation by sensitive substances: Allergy to systemic or local medications on the vulva causes vulvar itching.

6. Systemic diseases: For example, vulvar itching caused by vitamin A and B deficiency, jaundice, anemia, leukemia and other diseases is part of systemic itching. The diabetes in diabetic patients irritates the vulva and is also a common factor causing itching. In addition, obese patients may experience vulvar itching due to excessive secretion of sebaceous glands and sweat glands, which stimulate the vulva.

If the leucorrhea is yellow-green and the vulva is itchy, don't panic or worry too much. Go to the hospital for treatment for a period of time. In addition, you can alleviate this situation by having a regular lifestyle, good habits, and keeping your vulva dry and clean. Gynecological diseases are more stubborn, but they can all be cured; it’s just a matter of time. It is best to avoid sexual intercourse during treatment. Sexual life is not conducive to the improvement of inflammation and may even make it worse.
