What should I do if there is a plus sign of urine protein in late pregnancy?

Pregnant women should pay attention to their physical health during pregnancy, especially to ensure their physical safety and health, to avoid problems caused by danger to their bodies, especially if pregnant women have abnormal urine protein, then they need to pay attention to timely treatment. So what should I do if there is a plus sign of urine protein in the late pregnancy? Let me introduce it to you below.

A plus sign of protein in the urine of a pregnant woman may indicate gestational hypertension. The cause is unknown and she often presents with obvious high blood pressure, proteinuria, edema, etc. In severe cases, it causes symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, blurred vision, upper abdominal pain, convulsions and coma.

In terms of diet, you need to eat some lean meat, eggs, vegetables and fruits, avoid excessive fatigue, and if you have high blood pressure, you need to use some antihypertensive drugs for treatment.

In the kidney structure, the glomerular filtration barrier consists of three layers from the inside to the outside. Various solutes and large molecular proteins can pass through the pores freely, but can block the passage of blood cells, thus acting as a blood cell barrier. Larger molecules in plasma, such as proteins, cannot pass through the basement membrane. The basement membrane is an important barrier in the glomerulus that prevents the filtration of large molecular proteins. Epithelial cells have foot processes that interdigitate with each other to form clefts. There is a filtration slit membrane on the slit with holes on it, which can block the large molecular proteins filtered out from the inner and middle layers and is the last barrier to filtration. If the kidney's intrinsic cells are damaged, the filtration pores of the kidney's filtration membrane begin to change, allowing plasma albumin to pass through the three layers of the glomerulus membrane and eventually enter the urine.

Secondly, in the kidneys, each layer of the filtration membrane contains many negatively charged substances, which causes the permeability of the filtration membrane to also depend on the charge carried by the filtered substances. These negatively charged substances repel negatively charged plasma proteins, restricting their filtration. However, due to its negative charge, it has difficulty passing through the filtration membrane. When renal intrinsic cells are damaged, the local microcirculation of the damaged kidney will be obstructed, causing ischemia and hypoxia of renal intrinsic cells. Due to ischemia and hypoxia, the glomerular capillary endothelial cells are damaged. Once the glomerular capillary endothelial cells are damaged, they attract inflammatory cells in the blood circulation to infiltrate and release pathogenic inflammatory mediators. The pathological damage at this time will cause an inflammatory response in the damaged kidneys.

The above is my opinion on this issue that I would like to introduce to you. If a pregnant woman has the above symptoms, she needs to pay attention to ensuring her physical safety, and then check and treat in time to ensure her physical safety, and avoid danger to the pregnant woman's body due to the above problems. Finally, I wish the pregnant woman a speedy recovery.
