What to do if pregnant women have pink vaginal discharge

With the rapid development of the economy, many single-child families have emerged after the implementation of family planning in our country! And now, more and more only children have reached the age of marriage! Therefore, there are also many families with only one child that have joined together! At this time, when a girl in a family with only one child becomes pregnant, it can be said that all the hopes of both families are placed on her! But maybe the higher the expectations, the greater the pressure! Moreover, the new generation of parents who are only children have very little experience! Therefore, it is necessary to understand some changes in a girl’s body after she becomes pregnant!

1. Leucorrhea

Discharge from the vagina. Under normal circumstances, the amount is very small, white, sticky, and odorless. It contains mucus secreted by the cervix, exudates from the vaginal mucosa, epidermal cells shed from the uterus and vagina, as well as a small amount of white blood cells and non-pathogenic vaginal bacilli. When there is inflammation or tumor in the reproductive organs, vaginal discharge may increase due to inflammatory exudate or tissue necrosis, and may be purulent or bloody and have a foul odor. It is advisable to check it out in time.

Physiological leucorrhea

Physiological leucorrhea includes secretions from the labia majora and minora, Bartholin's glands, vaginal exudates and cervical glands, as well as a small amount secreted by the endometrium. It is a white, flocculent, viscous liquid, the amount and properties of which vary slightly with the menstrual cycle.

Leucorrhea 1. The sensitivity of leucorrhea varies greatly from person to person. Some women have a lot of leucorrhea but do not feel any discomfort, while others, although their reproductive tract secretions are normal or only slightly increased, often have a wet feeling in the vulva and feel confused and uncomfortable, so they are eager to seek treatment. This is related to one's personality, social status and cultural level. In fact, all healthy women under the influence of estrogen have reproductive tract discharge, commonly known as leucorrhea, which should not be understood as a pathology. Among patients who complain of increased leucorrhea, about 10% have physiological leucorrhea, or normal cervical fluid, or normal exfoliation of vaginal epithelial cells. Therefore, for patients with increased leucorrhea, we should first distinguish whether it is physiological or pathological leucorrhea.

⒉Observe leucorrhea to determine ovulation period

In the first half of the menstrual cycle, that is, before ovulation, the ovaries mainly secrete estrogen, and the secretion amount gradually increases. Under its action, the amount of cervical mucus also gradually increases, and becomes thinner and more translucent. The lower body, which has been relatively dry after menstruation, will gradually become moist. When ovulation occurs, estrogen secretion reaches its peak, the amount of cervical mucus is the largest, and its toughness is the greatest. Clear mucus often flows out in strips that can sometimes be very long. At this time, the woman's lower body is the wettest. When the above-mentioned strip-like leucorrhea flows out, there will be a greasy feeling. It is different from the increased leucorrhea caused by vaginitis and cervical erosion. The former is clear and transparent, without any odor, of which more than 95% is water; the latter is yellow and thick or cheese-like, and makes the vulva itchy and uncomfortable, and often has a bad smell. During ovulation, the cervical mucus is secreted in large quantities for about 2 to 3 days, which is also the time when the lower body feels the most moist.

2Pregnant women have pink vaginal discharge

This situation may be a sign of threatened abortion. Generally, the main manifestation of threatened abortion is vaginal bleeding after pregnancy. Depending on the amount of bleeding and the time it accumulates in the vagina, the color can be bright red, pink or dark brown. Sometimes it is accompanied by mild lower abdominal pain, a feeling of falling when the fetus moves, and backache and abdominal distension.

Suggestions: It is recommended that you go to the hospital for an ultrasound to make a clear diagnosis. Generally, if the problem is not serious, you can just receive treatment to preserve the pregnancy. Pay attention to bed rest and it is best not to walk around. Pay attention to temporarily refraining from sexual intercourse, try not to eat raw or cold foods, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.

Therefore, girls must make more preparations before becoming pregnant, and after becoming pregnant, they must understand more about the changes in their bodies! Especially when expectant mothers find any changes in their bodies, don’t panic, it’s better to consult a doctor!
