How to recover after cesarean section

How to recover after cesarean section

Many people are familiar with cesarean sections. With this method of delivery, women will not have too much pain, but there are many things that women need to pay attention to after cesarean sections. They need to pay attention to diet and work and rest, otherwise it will not help the body recover. Caesarean sections will cause incisions on the body, so the recovery of the incisions is very critical. How to recover the incisions after cesarean sections?

How to recover after cesarean section:

Compared with natural birth, the recovery time after cesarean section is longer, and the wounds must be cared for more carefully. About two to three weeks after the surgical incision has healed, the scar begins to grow, and the area becomes red, purple, hardened, and protrudes from the skin surface. When the wound turns dark brown, the scar will feel painful and itchy, but the itching will gradually disappear on its own over time. New mothers should not remove the scab too early and should pay attention to wound care.

How to take care of the wound after cesarean section recovery

1. Do not remove the scab on the incision too early after surgery. Removing the scab too early and forcefully will take away the epidermal cells that are still in the repair stage, or even tear off the dermal tissue, and stimulate itching of the wound.

2. Apply some topical medications such as Fuqingsong, triamcinolone, dexamethasone, etc. to relieve itching.

3. Avoid sunlight to prevent ultraviolet stimulation and pigmentation.

4. Improve your diet and eat more fruits, eggs, lean meat, pork skin and other foods rich in vitamins C, E and essential amino acids. These foods can promote blood circulation and improve epidermal metabolism. Avoid eating spicy foods such as chili peppers, onions and garlic.

5. Keep the scar clean and hygienic, wipe off sweat in time, do not scratch it with your hands, rub the scar with clothes or use water to relieve itching, so as not to aggravate local irritation, promote inflammatory reaction of connective tissue, and cause further itching.

After understanding how to heal the incision after a cesarean section, when you choose this method of delivery, you must follow the above methods during the recovery process. However, if you want to recover from the incision well, you also need to pay attention to adjusting your emotions. Unstable emotions will not help the recovery of the incision.
