What are the breast cancer examinations?

Breasts are a female characteristic, but most women will feel distressed and uneasy about breast diseases. Of course, it is not impossible to anticipate or prepare in advance. Then, you must understand simple knowledge and preventive measures. Today I will talk to you about the relevant knowledge about breast cancer physical examination.

(-) Breast X-ray Modern X-ray technology can reduce the radiation dose to 0.02-0.03 rad per examination.

Its advantages are: 1) It can detect lesions that cannot be detected clinically, especially in obese patients or patients with huge breasts. Lesions smaller than 0.5 to 1.0 cm cannot be felt clinically. Most early cancers (microcancers) or carcinoma in situ are detected by X-rays; ② Characteristic X-ray manifestations help in differential diagnosis. For example: characteristic images such as a hairy mass with rough edges, calcification shadows that are distributed in clusters in the form of dots or short sticks, and a translucent ring image formed by the edematous tissue in front of the mass.

According to the recommendations of the American Cancer Society, X-ray examinations should be used with caution before the age of 35 and should not be used as a screening method, except when there is a positive family history or suspicious lesions in the immediate family.

(B) The outstanding advantage of breast B-ultrasound examination is that it can distinguish between cystic and solid tumors. Raised lesions within the cystic cavity may still be malignant tumors.

(III) Fine needle aspiration cytology is an important means of differential diagnosis. The diagnostic accuracy rate has reached over 95%.

According to epidemiological surveys and studies, most breast cancer cases in Chinese women are concentrated before menopause. In contrast to the situation in developed countries in Europe and the United States, breast cancer occurs ten years earlier in Chinese women than in European and American women. Therefore, Director Ma Hongmin suggested that women should pay attention to the issue of breast cancer. Chinese women should start screening 5-10 years earlier than the above suggestion, that is, start breast screening at the age of 30-35, and should go to the hospital regularly to see a specialist for examination. If the woman is at high risk, she should not only be examined in advance, but also shorten the examination interval appropriately.

Physical examinations are very important for the prevention of breast cancer. Only by having a certain understanding of physical examinations can we choose the correct method for diagnosis in prevention, reduce the number of deaths from such diseases, and ensure women's health. Breast cancer patients are gradually getting younger, which fully demonstrates that young people do not pay attention to breast diseases. Young people should pay attention to this.
