Endometrial polyps

Endometrial polyps

Endometrial polyps are a common gynecological disease in our lives. Such gynecological diseases can cause irregular vaginal bleeding and infertility. At present, because the cause of endometrial polyps is unknown, many people think that the occurrence of the disease is related to endocrine disorders in the body. Therefore, during treatment, ultrasound diagnosis is mainly used, but can endometrial polyps be cured?

Endometrial polyps are a difficult-to-treat gynecological disease that occurs primarily after women reach puberty. Women may become ill at any age, but it is more common in women over 35 years old, so after the disease occurs, the patient's health is more endangered.

Single small endometrial polyps often have no clinical symptoms and are often discovered during gross examination after hysterectomy for other diseases, or diagnosed after diagnostic curettage. Some patients may experience menorrhagia and prolonged menstruation, which is related to the increase in endometrial area and excessive endometrial hyperplasia. Large polyps or polyps that protrude into the cervical canal are prone to secondary infection and necrosis, causing irregular bleeding and foul-smelling bloody secretions.

Dilate the cervix, remove the polyps, and then perform curettage. Small diffuse polyps can be removed and sent for pathological examination. Regular follow-up should be conducted after surgery to pay attention to recurrence and malignant transformation and to deal with them in a timely manner. In recent years, some people have successfully used hysteroscopic surgery or laser treatment to remove small polyps.

Endometrial polyps are a difficult-to-treat gynecological disease. Such endometrial polyps are more common in patients over 40 years old. If obvious bleeding symptoms occur after the disease occurs, the above treatment cannot be eradicated or often recurs. At this time, if we want to treat the disease, we need to consider total hysterectomy.
