Elderly patients with chronic diseases can be healthier and happier by doing the following 6 things.

1. It is best to eat breakfast before 7 o'clock every day, not later than 9 o'clock. Eat lunch slowly to reduce the burden on the stomach. Eat dinner earlier, it is more appropriate to eat dinner between 6 and 7 o'clock in the evening, and it is best not to exceed 8 o'clock in the evening. Studies have shown that eating two hours before going to bed or after 7 o'clock in the evening will increase the burden on the heart and brain, and lay the hidden dangers of myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction.

2. Elderly people with cardiovascular disease and diabetes can stand against the wall after lunch. Standing for one minute can effectively consume calories. In daily life, we should remember the "three slows": get up slowly, talk slowly, and walk slowly to avoid accidents.

3. Smile more every day. Smiling can promote the balance of the nervous system and endocrine system, increase white blood cells, increase the secretion of immunoglobulin in the body, and enhance immunity. People who love to laugh, are optimistic and open-minded have a lower risk of infection and a longer life span.

4. Take some time to bask in the sun. You should "learn to bask in the sun and borrow the sun energy from the sky". The best time to bask in the sun is from 8:00 to 10:00 and from 3:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. Each time, basking in the sun should last for 30 minutes.

5. Drink eight glasses of water every day. If the elderly do not drink water regularly, their blood will become viscous and their blood lipids will be high, eventually leading to a series of diseases such as high blood pressure.

6. Go to bed a little earlier. If you find it difficult to fall asleep at 10 o'clock in the evening, you might as well try to start by going to bed 15 minutes to 30 minutes earlier than before, and make adjustments every 2 to 5 days until you get the desired schedule.
