How to tell if the fallopian tubes are blocked

How to tell if the fallopian tubes are blocked

Nowadays, many women have gynecological diseases, such as endometritis, salpingitis, etc. When a woman suffers from fallopian tube inflammation, it will affect the ovulation period and even cause infertility. Once inflammation occurs on both sides of the fallopian tubes, it is very easy for them to become blocked, thus causing infertility. So, how do you know whether both fallopian tubes are blocked?

If you want to know whether both fallopian tubes are blocked, you just need to go to the hospital for examination and do angiography. Doctors can check the condition of both fallopian tubes based on X-rays and can clearly see whether both fallopian tubes are blocked. If a woman's bilateral fallopian tubes are blocked, it may cause infertility and is very likely to cause ectopic pregnancy.

If a woman finds that she has blocked fallopian tubes, she should immediately undergo tubal unblocking. If the blockage is relatively mild, she can undergo tubal hydrotubation. But everyone should note that hydrotubation is only effective for mild fallopian tube blockage.

If the fallopian tube is blocked due to compression by a tumor, surgery is required to remove the tumor. For example, when a woman suffers from a chocolate cyst, the doctor will generally not remove the fallopian tube, but will remove the cyst. If the blockage of the fallopian tube is not caused by a tumor, you should first determine whether the fallopian tubes on the other side are normal. If the woman cannot get pregnant within a year, she should undergo surgery to clear the fallopian tubes.

Will blocked fallopian tubes cause ovulation?

Generally speaking, there are no typical symptoms of fallopian tube obstruction, and the most common manifestation is infertility. The bilateral fallopian tubes have the key function of transporting male sperm, taking in egg cells, and transporting sperm and egg to the uterus. Blockage of the fallopian tubes prevents the movement of male sperm and sperm-egg combination, causing infertility or ectopic pregnancy. If bilateral fallopian tube obstruction is caused by pelvic inflammation, it may be accompanied by lower abdominal distension and pain, back pain, excessive secretions, and pain during sexual intercourse.

Therefore, there is no direct connection between whether the bilateral fallopian tubes are blocked and the ovulation period. The bilateral fallopian tubes are the place where sperm and egg meet and fertilize. When the sperm and egg combine and begin to undergo mitosis, they move toward the uterine cavity through the peristalsis of the bilateral fallopian tubes and the promotion of microvilli, transporting the sperm and egg into the uterine cavity.

The egg cells are released from the ovaries and uterus. After the egg cells are released from the ovaries and uterus, they need the fallopian tubes to absorb and transport them to the male sperm for fusion. As everyone knows, the main causes of ovulation disorders are factors of the central nervous system, hypothalamus-pituitary factors, pituitary factors, factors of the uterus and ovaries themselves, or diseases related to the uterus and ovaries, such as polycystic ovary syndrome and luteinized follicle non-cleavage syndrome. Other endocrine diseases besides sex hormones can also affect the ovulation period of the uterus and ovaries, such as thyroid cysts and adrenal imbalance. Some organic diseases such as moderate to severe malnutrition can affect the adjustment of the ovaries and cause ovulation disorders.

It can be seen from this that whether the bilateral fallopian tubes are blocked has no direct connection with the ovulation period. Even if the fallopian tube is blocked, if the ovarian function is normal, the ovulation period will not be affected. However, if inflammation occurs on both sides of the fallopian tubes and adhesions occur, it will affect the transport of sperm and egg, leading to infertility.
