Many years later, during a blood test, Cao Guoping discovered this special blood type again. "This blood did not match the recipient, and out of professional instinct, I immediately thought of the person back then. After a careful check, it turned out to be the same person ."

Cao Guoping paid special attention to this case and confirmed through testing that this person had the very rare small p blood type. At the same time, Cao Guoping sequenced the gene of this blood, and something even more amazing happened. The result of this gene sequencing was different from all the reported small p blood type gene mutation results.

In December 2023, Cao Guoping sent the sequencing results to the Human Gene Bank, which confirmed that a nucleotide sequence that has not been found in the world so far was found in this rare small p blood type, and the gene bank assigned a sequence number: OR900206. This new discovery is of great clinical value. Experts remind that because blood types are rare, people with rare blood types must pay special attention to their own health and safety. They can also reserve their own blood in advance or consult the local blood bank for storage capacity to meet their blood needs.
