NPD: 32% of US consumers chose prepaid payment to purchase smartphones in Q1 2013

Market research company NPD recently pointed out that more and more people are choosing to buy smartphones in advance. It is reported that in the first quarter of this year, 32% of consumers in the United States chose to buy smartphones in advance, an increase of 11% year-on-year. Stephen Baker, vice president of NPD's industry analysis department, pointed out that now, consumers are no longer focusing on smartphones themselves, but considering how to make every penny spent count.

In the first quarter of this year, the US market did not welcome any major new products, which made consumers more inclined to choose prepaid methods to buy high-performance smartphones. Baker pointed out that Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4S became the most popular prepaid smartphones this year.
